PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As part of TMICC LATAM IT, the IT OPUS Establishment – IT Deployment Lead (LATAM) leads the establishment, deployment readiness, and stabilization of OPUS-enabled IT capabilities across Latin America. The role ensures business continuity (BAU), integration reliability, effective cutover and hypercare execution, and a sustainable transition to a steady-state run model for LATAM.
This position is the “mirror/peer” role to the OPUS IT Deployment Lead for North America (NA). Both operate under shared governance to align enterprise standards, dependencies, and roadmap, while owning execution within their respective regions (NA vs LATAM).
SCOPE (LATAM)
Regional accountability for OPUS establishment and stabilization across LATAM markets.
Mexico-based leadership, responsible for creating a repeatable LATAM rollout playbook (readiness gates, cutover, hypercare, stabilization KPIs).
Twin-lead model with NA to ensure consistency in:
Enterprise standards and design intent
Integration patterns and controls
Cybersecurity requirements and compliance controls
Data governance and reporting readiness
Shared platform dependencies (SAP / Salesforce / ServiceNow)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) OPUS Establishment & Operational Readiness (LATAM)
Own end-to-end LATAM deployment readiness across process, data, integrations, security, support model, and adoption.
Protect BAU continuity and minimize disruption, prioritizing operationally critical flows (P1).
Define and govern “coexistence rules” when OPUS overlaps with existing tools/processs to prevent double entry, manual reconciliations, and uncontrolled workarounds.
Build and maintain the LATAM deployment playbook: gates, checklists, RACI, cutover/hypercare templates, defect triage, and stabilization exit criteria.
2) Core Enterprise Platforms Enablement (Enterprise Readiness)
Coordinate (in alignment with global platform teams) readiness and enablement of core enterprise platforms and related workflows:
SAP (ERP and related modules)
Salesforce (CRM and commercial processes)
ServiceNow (ITSM, workflow automation, service catalog)
Ensure coherent end-to-end operations across OPUS and core platforms, aligned to LATAM priorities and constraints.
3) Integration Leadership (Critical for Continuity)
Identify, coordinate, and ensure readiness of critical integrations (P1) where failure can stop operations.
Ensure monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks for integrations and end-to-end flows.
Lead SIT/UAT with acceptance criteria tied to business outcomes (not only technical pass/fail).
Coordinate technical/functional cutover for integrations, ensuring test evidence and change control.
4) Business Partnering & Process Optimization
Partner with Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Commercial/Sales, and Operations to optimize end-to-end processes enabled by OPUS.
Translate business needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable KPIs.
Drive regional standardization while managing justified local exceptions in a controlled way.
5) Service Transition (Hypercare → BAU) & ITSM
Define and implement the LATAM run model (L1/L2/L3), SLAs, escalations, on-call expectations, knowledge base, and vendor handoffs.
Align with Service Management to embed ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Change), SLAs, and operational excellence through ServiceNow.
Ensure documentation quality, knowledge transfer (KT), and measurable hypercare exit criteria.
6) NA–LATAM Twin-Lead Governance
Operate as the LATAM counterpart to the IT NA Deployment Lead, aligning standards, patterns, and cross-region dependencies.
Run a weekly governance cadence for RAID, dependencies, readiness, and escalation of blockers.
Maintain a LATAM single source of truth: readiness status, defect backlog, risks, decisions, progress, and hypercare exit.
7) Cybersecurity, Compliance & Controls
Ensure secure-by-design delivery with Cybersecurity: RBAC, auditability, segregation of duties, data classification, and compliance controls.
Validate operational controls pre go-live and during stabilization; ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
8) Data & Analytics Readiness (Reporting Continuity)
Align with Data & Analytics on data governance, quality, master data readiness, and integration patterns.
Ensure operational reporting continuity and avoid blind spots during coexistence and post go-live.
9) Vendor & Delivery Partner Management
Manage system integrators/vendors (SI/AMS) for LATAM: quality, deliverables, test evidence, documentation, and performance vs outcomes.
Ensure complete handover and service continuity (runbooks, KB, KT, defined ownership).
10) Program Management & Leadership Reporting
Build and manage plans, timelines, resources, and RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies).
Provide decision-oriented reporting: blockers, impacts, and tradeoffs (time/cost/risk).
Provide go/no-go recommendations for LATAM deployments based on readiness criteria.
