[What the role is]
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.[What you will be working on]
You will contribute to safeguarding Singapore's built environment by supporting the regulation of building maintenance and safety standards. Your responsibilities include:
Administering building inspection regimes
Processing inspection reports and compliance documentation
Supporting enforcement actions against unauthorised building structures
Handling public enquiries and feedback on building safety matters
Investigating building incidents
Contributing to policy development initiatives for building maintenance frameworks
As part of a dynamic organisation, you will also have the opportunity to work on other aspects of building control.
[What we are looking for]
A degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, preferably a practising Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore. Candidates who are not registered PEs but are preparing for registration would also be considered
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, inspection, or architectural finishes, OR at least 4 years of experience in structural design and analysis of buildings
Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
