At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.
Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.
REGENT is building a new category of vehicle, and the spaces where our teams work need to keep pace with us. As our Facilities Maintenance Associate, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping our growing facilities functional, organized, and ready for the work happening inside them every day.
Your primary focus will be day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and hands-on workplace support across three nearby REGENT facilities. You'll tackle basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical repairs; assemble and move furniture and equipment; set up spaces for meetings and events; and jump in when something around our facilities needs to be fixed, moved, installed, or made better.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being on their feet, working with their hands, and seeing the immediate impact of what they accomplish. In a growing startup, the needs of our spaces change quickly, so we're looking for someone who is resourceful, dependable, comfortable shifting priorities, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
When our facilities work well, our teams can stay focused on bringing Seagliders to market. You'll be an important part of making that happen every day.
Handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs. Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical repairs, along with everyday facilities work such as mounting or removing screens, assembling furniture, making minor repairs, and addressing issues throughout our spaces.
Move, build, and set up our spaces. Support furniture and equipment moves, desk setups, room reconfigurations, installations, and other hands-on projects as our teams and facilities evolve.
Support meetings and events. Set up and break down spaces for company meetings, events, and other team needs, including room arrangements, furniture, basic AV equipment, and catering setup.
Stay ahead of facility needs. Conduct regular walkthroughs across our three nearby locations to identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, cleanliness gaps, or other items that need attention — and address what you can before it becomes a bigger problem.
Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues. Investigate problems, complete repairs within your scope, and coordinate with outside contractors when specialized expertise is needed.
Manage facilities requests. Track maintenance and repair requests through our ticketing system, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, and general facilities needs, and help make sure open items get to resolution.
Keep our spaces organized. Help maintain furniture, equipment, and supply inventories and support 5S standards across storage areas, equipment rooms, and shared spaces.
Move what needs to move. Transport furniture, equipment, supplies, and other assets between our nearby facilities using a company vehicle.
Support a safe workplace. Help maintain emergency equipment, keep exits and pathways clear, support emergency drills and inspections, and follow established OSHA and REGENT safety requirements while completing facilities work.
Support our vendors. Help coordinate contractors and vendors while they're on-site for specialized repairs, maintenance, or installations and communicate recurring or urgent needs to the Assistant Facilities Manager.
Pitch in across workplace operations. Support new-hire desk and badge setup and other day-to-day workplace needs that help keep our teams productive and our spaces running smoothly.
Demonstrated professional, hands-on maintenance skills. You're comfortable performing basic building maintenance and repairs and working with common hand and power tools. Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, furniture assembly, basic mechanical repairs, or similar hands-on work is especially helpful.
A willingness to get your hands dirty. You enjoy work where you're moving, building, fixing, assembling, setting up, and solving practical problems throughout the day.
Strong troubleshooting instincts. When something isn't working, you're comfortable investigating the problem, figuring out what you can handle yourself, and recognizing when specialized support is needed.
Organization and follow-through. You can balance planned maintenance with unexpected requests, keep track of what still needs attention, and follow work through to completion across multiple locations.
A safety-first approach. You work carefully, follow established procedures, use tools and equipment appropriately, and speak up when you see something that could create a safety issue.
Clear communication. You're comfortable working with employees, vendors, contractors, and teammates and communicate clearly about what you're working on, what you need, and when something requires additional support.
Comfort with basic technology. You can use common workplace software and are comfortable learning facilities ticketing and tracking systems.
A valid driver's license. You'll regularly travel between three nearby REGENT facilities and transport supplies or equipment using a company vehicle.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role. You're comfortable being active throughout the day and can safely perform the lifting, carrying, moving, reaching, and other physical tasks required for facilities maintenance and setup work.
Collaborative Team Player: You're someone people can count on to pitch in and get things done. You work well with teammates, employees, vendors, and contractors and understand that maintaining great spaces takes coordination and teamwork.
Creative Problem Solver: You like figuring out how to fix things. You assess what's happening, work through practical solutions, and don't need every task to come with step-by-step instructions — while knowing when a problem requires additional expertise.
Adaptable & Agile: You're comfortable in a startup where the plan for your day may change. You can shift from a repair to an urgent setup to a furniture move, prioritize what needs attention first, and still follow through on the work already in progress.
Innovative Mindset: You notice opportunities to make our spaces and the way we maintain them better. You're curious about better tools, approaches, organization, and processes and willing to suggest improvements based on what you see doing the work every day.
