We're the makers of Devin, the first AI software engineer.
Our team is extremely talent-dense. Among our founding team, we have world-class competitive programmers, former founders, and leaders from companies at the cutting edge of AI including Scale AI, Palantir, Cursor, Waymo, Tesla, Lunchclub, Modal, Google DeepMind, and Nuro.
Building Devin is just the first step—our hardest challenges still lie ahead. If you’re excited to solve some of the world’s biggest problems and build AI that can reason on real-world tasks, apply to join us.
Software is how the modern world runs—but there's not enough of it, and too much of what exists isn't good enough. Banks and governments still run COBOL from the 1970s. Budgets go to technical debt and maintenance instead of the features customers actually want. The bottleneck has always been the same: engineering talent is scarce and expensive, and budgets only stretch so far.
AI agents make it possible to build more software, faster, at higher quality—and Cognition is at the center of that shift. We built Devin, the first AI software engineer, and we're working with some of the world's largest enterprises to fundamentally expand what their engineering organizations can deliver. We went from $1 to $X00M in revenue in a year, and are backed by some of the world’s top investors, including Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Lux Capital, and 8VC.
About the Role
As a Field Marketer at Cognition, you will bring our go-to-market strategy to life through high-impact, high-touch experiences that drive pipeline, strengthen executive relationships, and accelerate enterprise adoption of Devin and Windsurf. Our event calendar includes owned conferences, executive summits, forums, third party conferences, and uniquely creative gatherings that only Cognition could host.
Our strategy is centered on high-end, curated executive experiences with differentiated content, standout hospitality, and deliberate guest lists. You will help us create the spaces where the most influential engineering and technology leaders come together to understand what comes next.
This role is execution-heavy. We are looking for someone who obsesses over details, runs flawless programs end to end, thrives under pressure, and coordinates cross-functional teams with precision.
In this role, you will:
Execute Cognition’s field strategy by delivering extraordinary in-person experiences for top engineering and business leaders
Build deep relationships with regional sales teams and collaboratively develop territory strategies aligned to revenue targets
Own the full lifecycle of each event: planning, budgeting, logistics, vendor management, onsite execution, attendee management, and follow-up
Localize our core narratives and value propositions for specific industries, geographies, and customer segments
Run pre- and post-event campaign motions to maximize attendance, engagement, follow-up, and conversion
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales Engineering to bring Cognition’s story to life through high-quality demos, technical programming, and customer content
Scout and evaluate strategic opportunities and build a consistent presence for Cognition in target markets
Requirements for the role:
Demonstrated experience in field marketing for technical or enterprise software companies
Proven ability to plan, execute, and measure complex programs tied directly to revenue outcomes
Strong cross-functional partnership skills—you instinctively bring Sales, Product, and Marketing teams into alignment
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with high expectations for quality and speed
Ability to communicate technical products clearly and credibly to senior engineering and business leaders
A track record of running multiple programs simultaneously with precision and strong attention to detail
You might excel if you…
have led field marketing programs at a high-growth startup
enjoy designing executive experiences and creating moments that differentiate a brand
thrive when traveling, hosting, problem-solving, and adapting in real time
are highly organized and operationally minded while still creative
love working closely with Sales and directly impacting revenue
are energized by high-intensity environments where expectations are high and outcomes are measurable
