About the Role
Location: New York City (Primary), Denver, Chicago, Singapore (APAC), London, San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles
Commitment: 5 Days In-Person
We're looking for an engineer who wants to work close to customers and build the software that makes a deployment succeed.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Endex, you'll develop integrations and customer-specific capabilities where production engineering is required. You'll work with deployment teams and core engineering to turn useful field solutions into reusable product patterns.
Your Key Responsibilities
Ship Customer Integrations: Build production code that connects Endex to customer systems and executes a real workflow end to end.
Work Within Enterprise Constraints: Design for authentication, permissions, data boundaries and the customer's operating environment.
Own the Production Outcome: Test integrations, add observability and recovery behavior, and support what you deploy through launch.
Coordinate Product Boundaries: Agree what belongs in a customer solution and what should enter the core product.
Make Work Reusable: Bring proven integration patterns and field learning back to engineering.
What We're Looking For
Software Engineering Foundation: You've shipped and maintained production software.
Integration Fluency: You can work with APIs, authentication and enterprise systems.
Customer Judgment: You ask good questions and explain technical trade-offs clearly.
Practical Builder: You choose a solution that works within real constraints.
Customer-Facing Engineering: You can investigate requirements with users, make sound implementation trade-offs and maintain the code after it ships.
