## About CopyCat AI
CopyCat AI ([runcopycat.com](https://runcopycat.com)) is the AI workspace for insurance agencies. There are more than 40,000 independent agencies in the US, and we want to power every one of them. We're backed by Y Combinator (W25), Flex Capital and the a16z scout fund.
Agencies and brokers across the US use CopyCat to:
* **Proposal generation:** Turn carrier quotes and coverage details into client-ready proposals in 90 seconds.
* **Process submissions:** pull applications, loss runs and emails into structured data instead of retyping them.
* **Quote and compare:** turn carrier quotes into clean side-by-side comparisons for clients.
* **Run renewals:** keep the renewal pipeline moving without a producer chasing every file.
* **Contract review:** read through contracts and flag the terms and gaps that matter for coverage.
* **Policy checking:** compare issued policies against quotes and applications to catch discrepancies before clients do.
Most customers are live within a 2 days. We answer customer emails in about five minutes and usually fix issues within hours, which is a big part of why agencies stay and refer their friends.
The company is two founders today: [Abhi Balijepalli](https://www.linkedin.com/in/a8hi/) (Product & Engineering) and [Graham Sabin](https://www.linkedin.com/in/grahamsabin/) (Sales & GTM). You'd be the first sales hire working directly with Graham.
## Traction
We have more demand than two founders can call back, which is why this role exists.
* **Growth:** 40 to 60% month over month.
* **Volume:** our product processes thousands of pages of carrier quotes and proprietary agency data every day.
* **Inbound:** on busy days we get around 10 demo requests, and every one of them gets a call from a founder today. Soon that call comes from you.
* **Wins:** we've beaten a much larger competitor in a head-to-head bakeoff with fewer products and fewer logos.
* **Pipeline:** we have conference booths booked through the end of the year and active relationships with agency associations.
## **The role**
You'll own the full sales cycle for small and mid-sized agencies, from first dial to signed contract. Deals are usually a one- or two-call close: an agency owner sees the product working on their own kind of files and decides.
You'll work directly with both founders, help write the playbook instead of inheriting one, and have a real path to leading the sales team as we hire behind you.
**Location:** Seattle area, in person at our coworking space.
## What you'll do
* **Call warm leads fast.** When someone books a demo or fills out a form, you're on the phone with them the same day.
* **Book meetings** and keep your calendar full.
* **Run product demos** tailored to each agency: their lines of business, their carriers, their workflows.
* **Close deals,** typically in one or two calls.
* **Look after existing customers:** check in regularly, spot expansion opportunities, and bring their feedback straight to the founders.
* **Keep the CRM honest.** Every call, note and next step logged, so we can see what's working.
* **Help at conferences** and industry events when we're on the road.
## Who you are
* At least one year in a sales role, with real cold calling experience. You know what a 100-dial day feels like and you don't mind it.
* Comfortable running a demo and asking for the close on the same call.
* Well versed in CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, and disciplined about keeping them up to date.
* Good at staying in touch with existing customers, not just chasing new ones.
* Warm, friendly and genuinely social. People like getting a call from you.
* Excited to be early at a startup and to grow this role into something much bigger.
* Be open minded, and think outside of the box!
**Nice to have:** experience selling to small/med businesses, or in the insurance space!
## Compensation (Base + Commission + Equity)
* **Base:** $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience
* **Commission** on every deal you close (percentage of revenue)
* **Equity** as a founding member of the team
**If successful you will be making more than both founders combined ;)**
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
