**Location:** New York, NY (some travel required)
**Type:** Full-Time
**Compensation:** Flexible based on experience
**About Corgi**
Corgi is building the next generation of financial institutions. We’re rethinking how insurance, financial products, and other complex financial services are built and operated from the ground up.
We move quickly, work across disciplines, and expect people to take meaningful ownership from day one. Our teams are small, ambitious, and highly execution-oriented.
**About the Role**
We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build a new product line from the ground up.
You’ll work closely with the product line’s leadership and operating team to build the software, systems, and infrastructure needed to launch and scale the business. This is a highly hands-on role where you’ll have significant ownership over what gets built and how it works.
You won’t be working from a fixed backlog. You’ll spend time understanding the business and its users, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement, and then building the technology to make those ideas real.
The role will involve travel to work directly with the teams and operations building the product line.
**What You’ll Do**
* Build and ship full-stack applications that support the new product line.
* Develop customer-facing products and internal tools.
* Work across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
* Translate business and operational problems into technical solutions.
* Work directly with users and operators to understand their workflows and pain points.
* Automate manual processes and build systems that allow the business to scale.
* Design and implement integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
* Own projects from initial concept and architecture through deployment and iteration.
* Develop reliable, maintainable, and scalable software.
* Debug, improve, and extend existing systems as the product evolves.
* Work closely with product and operations to rapidly test and iterate on new ideas.
* Travel to Corgi offices and operating locations as needed to work directly with the team and users.
**What We’re Looking For**
* No professional experience required if you can demonstrate your skills another way.
* Strong experience building full-stack applications.
* Fluency in modern frontend and backend development.
* Strong understanding of databases, APIs, and software architecture.
* Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
* Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
* Ability to take ownership of projects from beginning to end.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel.
**Why Corgi**
This is an opportunity to join a new product line at an early stage and have a meaningful role in building its technology from the ground up.
You’ll work closely with the people actually building and operating the business, with significant ownership over the systems you create and the opportunity to see your work directly shape how the product line operates and scales.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
