• Identify scope gaps, conflicts, or ambiguities between single-line drawings, specifications, and BOMs; proactively communicate clarification needs to Sales or customers.
• Evaluate and compare competing manufacturers’ BOMs, configurations, and technical offerings to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective solution aligned with customer and specification requirements.
• Support pre-submittals, submittals, resubmittals, and revisions, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and drawing intent prior to release.
• Identify and itemize accessories, control options, and third-party equipment sourced externally as part of the quotation.
• Contact manufacturers, factories, and authorized representatives to obtain pricing, lead times, technical clarifications, and compliance confirmations related to specifications and drawings.
• Compute cost and sell pricing using multiple factors including margins, inventory availability, competitive environment, price validity, logistics, freight, handling, staging, and abnormal shipping requirements.
• Identify and communicate technical and commercial risks related to equipment selection, specification compliance, lead times, or scope assumptions.
• Ensure all quotations, customer approvals, and acknowledgments are properly documented to reduce liability and support audit and order execution requirements.
