Global Key Account Manager & KAM Excellence Lead, ABB Robotics

  

In this role, you will primarily drive profitable business line sales growth at a major logistics facing Global Key Account. You will also develop, implement and manage the Global Account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability and customer satisfaction, while coordinating the sales activities and managing resolution of specific customer issues.

 

In addition, you will also be responsible for driving operational excellence, and continuous improvement across key accounts globally. This role enables the coordination of the Key Account Management team, ensuring alignment of priorities, consistent customer engagement, and effective execution of account strategies. The incumbent oversees regular business reviews, performance monitoring, and planning processes to optimize growth, customer satisfaction, and business results.

 

 

As a Lead Key Account Manager, you will:

 

• Establish and maintain global offering (Robots, Robots Accessories, Function Packages, Robot Cells, Full Turn-key Solutions from Global Solution Centers GSC) for the Global Key Account balance near term forecasting and targets with longer term 5-year Strategic Plan.
• Create a detailed Global Account Plan and implement a tracking system to chart progress for the different activities, at LBL and BL level.
• Develop a Player Map and implement a program to connect the Key Account and ABB RARO executives on a regular basis to further develop business and relationships, as well as the local sales representatives.
• Be the global representative facing Key Account with the principal account decision makers at both the executive office and principal factory locations.
• Coordinate the global Key Account Management organization to ensure alignment with business priorities, consistent strategic direction, and effective collaboration across regions and business lines
• provide functional leadership of the KAM organization, drives KAM standards, consolidates account topics, prepares KAM Council discussions and escalates cross-account challenges.
• Drive excellence by monitoring account performance, sharing best practice and identifying areas for improvement.

• Facilitate regular reviews of key accounts, business performance, risks, and opportunities.

• Coordinate the annual and quarterly account planning process, ensuring robust action plans and growth strategies.
• Focus on resolving cross-organization dependencies, removing organizational barriers, and escalating systemic issues
• Track key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the account portfolio.

 

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of commercial experience in Account Management and Key Account Management roles; strong preference will be given to candidates with first-hand knowledge of robotics in the Consumer Segment global manufacturing environment.

 

Desired Qualifications

• Strong technical background in robotics or advanced mechatronics systems.
• Desired AI Knowledge (Perception AI, Physical AI).
• Strong familiarity with logistics and CPG operations
• Seasoned commercial campaigner in dealing with complex decision-making units within large global customer organizations and from within a highly matrixed internal organization.
• Experience with customers, including sales, problem resolution, negotiation skills, and relationship building.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and program management skills to be the conduct between customer, engineering and product organizations
• Willingness to travel up to 35% of domestic and international locations
• Required English fluent speaking person
• Remote and Hybrid options are available for the right candidate. Must be located near a major metropolitan airport.

This position is expected to pay between $142,500 - $205,000 annually and is bonus eligible. The stated range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. A hired associate’s position within the salary range will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
