About Abbott Lingo
Lingo is Abbott's continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) biosensor, designed to help people better understand how their body responds to food, exercise, sleep, and everyday life. We sit at the intersection of health technology and consumer lifestyle, helping people make smarter decisions through real-time insights and behavioral change.
Our social channels are an extension of that mission. We create content that is educational, inspiring, and genuinely useful, building a community of people who are curious about their health and motivated to improve it.
The Global Social Media Manager is Lingo's lead for owned social channels, responsible for shaping our social strategy, driving content development, and building an engaged community of users and advocates.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You'll define how Lingo shows up across social platforms, while also owning the day-to-day execution that brings the brand to life. One day you may be developing a quarterly content strategy; the next, responding to comments, reviewing creative, or publishing a post tied to a cultural moment.
You'll partner closely with peers across Influencers & Creators, Brand Partnerships, Creative, and Communications to ensure a connected and consistent brand presence across all touchpoints.
We're looking for someone who loves both storytelling and community-building, is energized by social media's fast pace, and has strong instincts for what resonates with audiences.
What You’ll Work On
Social Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute Lingo's social media strategy across key platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels.
- Define content pillars, channel approaches, tone of voice, and social-first storytelling opportunities.
- Establish KPIs and regularly assess performance, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
- Monitor trends, platform changes, and cultural conversations to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.
Content & Community
- Own Lingo's editorial calendar from planning and briefing through publishing and optimization.
- Partner with internal creative teams, agencies, and creators to develop engaging platform-native content across video, static, story, and live formats.
- Write and review social copy that reflects Lingo's brand voice and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the voice of Lingo in social channels, managing community engagement across comments, DMs, mentions, and conversations.
- Develop programs that encourage participation, advocacy, user-generated content, and long-term community growth.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Influencers & Creators and Brand Partnerships teams to integrate social into broader marketing initiatives.
- Share community insights, audience feedback, and emerging themes with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure content aligns with Abbott policies and industry requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of social media and community management experience for a consumer-facing brand.
- Experience developing social strategies and executing content across multiple platforms.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and channels.
- Experience with social media management, listening, and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health technology, wellness, consumer devices, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with influencer, creator, or partnership programs.
- Experience growing and engaging online communities.
- Experience supporting organic and paid social initiatives.
- Familiarity with CGM, metabolic health, wearable technology, or adjacent categories.
Who You Are
- You think strategically but enjoy rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.
- You have strong instincts for what makes great social content and a willingness to test, learn, and adapt.
- You care about the people behind the profiles and see community-building as more than just moderation.
- You collaborate naturally and thrive in a highly cross-functional environment.
- You stay calm under pressure and bring good judgment to both everyday decisions and high-visibility moments.
- You're curious about health, wellness, and the role technology can play in helping people live better.
Why Lingo
Lingo is helping shape a new conversation around personal health, combining Abbott's scientific expertise with the creativity, speed, and ambition of a modern consumer brand. If you're excited about building meaningful communities and creating content that helps people take action on their health, we'd love to hear from you.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible working, and the chance to do some of the most meaningful work of your career.
