Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.
Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.
Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.
We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.
About You and the Role
Zipline has partnered with some of the most innovative healthcare systems in the nation to revolutionize the way they deliver care to millions of patients. As the GM of Zipline’s Healthcare vertical, you will lead that transformation. You will own the strategy, execution, and balance sheet for this segment: starting with pilots to demonstrate our capabilities and value and then scaling our operations and relationships as our product capabilities mature. You will meet quarterly with Zipline’s executive leadership to provide a progress update on the healthcare vertical and to recommend the path forward and define what resources and support are needed for success.
In this role you will own our relationships with Zipline’s U.S. healthcare partners. You will develop a deep understanding of their operations and business models. Collaborating closely with our partners and our internal operations teams, you will ensure that Zipline delivers results that exceed their expectations and empowers them to provide superior outcomes to their patients. You will also provide key insights on what new features and capabilities will have the biggest impact on our healthcare partners. Finally, you will build a team of Healthcare-focused partner managers over time as the segment grows.
Our ideal candidate for this role is customer obsessed and deeply curious. You have developed expertise in how healthcare systems manage their logistics and supply chains and an understanding of the unique regulatory environment they operate in. You should be a structured thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and action oriented – able to coordinate across multiple teams to develop a plan and drive execution. We are looking for a player/coach who thrives both executing themselves, as well as building and mentoring a team.
