Our mission is to empower independent supply stores with best-in-class technology. Think of your local hardware store or mom-and-pop nursery—these are our clients. From paint to lumber to flooring, over 200,000 such stores across the country sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. We’re aiming to help them modernize so that they can continue to thrive.
Backed by leading investors including Battery, Bessemer and CRV, we've raised $48M across four rounds and are growing quickly: We're live in over 500 stores across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean, and integrated with over 20 industry partners. Our team is made up of builders, sellers, and industry veterans with a shared goal: to bring modern technology to an overlooked industry.
The role is based in Redwood City, with regular travel to co-op markets, partner events, and stores across the country.
As the Growth Marketing Manager you will own the engine that turns marketing spend into ARR. This is one of a few Rundoo growth marketing roles, so you'll play a key role in shaping the campaigns and strategies we use in the future. Your mandate is to build on the existing demand-generation engine that turns marketing campaigns into qualified pipeline and, ultimately, ARR to help us scale spend and inbound volume into 2027. Together with the Head of Marketing, you’ll plan, launch, and optimize integrated campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels.
Owned channels include email, website content, and social. Earned channels include third-party mentions, organic articles, and other credible coverage. Paid channels include digital ads, sponsored e-blasts, direct mail, advertorials, print placements, and other targeted media.
You’ll develop audience-focused campaigns, coordinate the right channel mix, and measure performance from engagement through qualified pipeline and closed-won revenue. Partnerships and co-marketing remain valuable parts of the mix, alongside broader demand-generation programs that reach buyers wherever they discover and evaluate Rundoo.
This is a hands-on demand generation role: you’ll build and run integrated campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels, create and distribute campaign assets, test and refine messaging, and work closely with Sales and Marketing to improve lead quality, attribution, and pipeline results. Initial experiments and early programs are showing signs of traction and contributing to pipeline, creating a strong foundation to learn what works and scale it. You’ll report to the Head of Marketing, who brings the strategy and domain expertise and helps coordinate the team across demand generation, partnerships, and events. You’ll work alongside the Data Science team, who build the enrichment and attribution capabilities behind campaign targeting and measurement. You bring the growth instincts, creative execution, and analytical discipline to turn early momentum into a predictable demand-generation engine that drives qualified pipeline and ARR.
This is a prove-it-and-grow role. Early results point to meaningful potential across campaigns, partnerships, and conferences. As you demonstrate repeatable pipeline impact, the scope, budget, team, and level of the role can grow with it.
Turn marketing strategy into integrated campaigns. Work with the Head of Marketing to translate priorities, target audiences, and revenue goals into campaign plans, channel mixes, budgets, and timelines. Own day-to-day execution from launch through follow-up.
Run demand generation across owned, earned, and paid channels. Launch and optimize email, website content, social, digital ads, sponsored e-blasts, direct mail, advertorials, and print placements. Coordinate third-party coverage and content distribution, connecting each channel to a clear audience, message, and offer.
Create and distribute campaign assets. Build compelling emails, landing pages, ads, one-pagers, and case studies, working with internal teammates and vendors as needed. Carry projects from brief to delivery and keep campaigns moving on schedule.
Test, learn, and improve performance. Test audiences, messaging, offers, creative, and conversion paths. Use results to recommend where to scale, refine, or stop spend, in partnership with the Head of Marketing.
Convert interest into qualified pipeline. Build nurture and follow-up programs, and work closely with Sales and the SDR team on lead handoffs, qualification feedback, and campaign follow-through. Improve lead quality and conversion from initial engagement to sales opportunity.
Measure campaigns through pipeline and ARR. Maintain clear campaign tracking in Salesforce and work with Data Science on attribution and reporting. Track spend, engagement, qualified pipeline, and closed-won revenue; share actionable results and recommendations with the Head of Marketing.
Build a repeatable demand-generation engine. Document campaign playbooks, maintain the campaign calendar, and turn successful tests into repeatable programs. Help the Head of Marketing scale spend and inbound volume while keeping execution quality and revenue impact in focus.
We care more about whether you can grow pipeline and drive ARR than about a title history. The ideal candidate builds the collateral, works the relationships, and owns a revenue number rather than waiting to be handed a plan.
Hands-on demand-generation marketer - you build audience-focused campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels, building the assets and managing execution yourself
Pipeline and revenue focused - you connect campaign performance to qualified pipeline and closed-won ARR, using conversion data and spend efficiency to recommend improvements rather than reporting activity alone
Strong campaign operator - you manage briefs, budgets, timelines, and follow-up, coordinate teammates and vendors, and reliably carry campaigns from idea to launch to results
Collaborative across Marketing and Sales - you work with the Head of Marketing on priorities and channel mix, with Sales and SDRs on lead quality and handoffs, and with Data Science on tracking and attribution
Test-and-iterate mindset - you ship, test messaging, audiences, and offers, and turn what works into repeatable programs; you bring clear recommendations to the Head of Marketing and adapt quickly as you learn
3+ years in growth marketing, demand generation, or a revenue-owning marketing role, with a demonstrable track record of driving ARR
Running multi-channel, full-funnel campaigns and being able to point to the pipeline and ARR they generated
Building branded collateral and running campaigns (e-blasts, webinars, one-pagers, magazine placements)
Hands-on with Salesforce: accounts, contacts, campaigns, and how pipeline is tracked and attributed
Working with a sales team to enable them with account intelligence i.e. MQL signals
SMB or owner-operator customers, and ideally distributor / co-op / buying-group ecosystems, rather than enterprise targeting
Comfortable in a CRM (Salesforce): accounts, contacts, campaigns, and clean partner-to-pipeline reporting
Comfortable with spreadsheets, lists, and outreach tooling, and with partnering with a Marketing Engineer on the enrichment behind partner-rep data
Able to work from Redwood City and travel to stores and events as needed
Comfort using AI tools to draft collateral, partner outreach, and enablement material at speed
Familiarity with paint, hardware, building materials, farm and feed, lawn and garden, or related industries and their media publications (GIE Media, Lawn & Garden Retailer, Hardware Connection, Paint and Decorating Retailer
Experience negotiating rate cards, sponsorships, or media placements with trade publications
Intro Call (30 mins) - Intro conversation with Shannon to get to know you.
Round 1 (remote, 30 mins) Titus, Head of Marketing, will go more in depth on the role and your experience.
Take home exercise (paid) - Develop a demand-generation plan for Rundoo targeting independent farm & feed supply stores. Assume you have a $50,000 and can use paid digital ads, email, direct mail, trade-publication placements, webinars, landing pages, and sales follow-up—but no preferred-vendor sponsorship or partner-distribution access. Design a reusable campaign toolkit with sample audience segments, messaging and offers, creative/copy examples, landing-page and nurture flows, channel mix, budget assumptions, measurement and attribution plan, and a 90-day test-and-scale cadence. Show the funnel math and operating assumptions required to generate $500k in qualified pipeline, including how you will define qualified pipeline, track spend and conversion by channel, and adjust if early results are below plan.
Round 2 (onsite) - Three conversations, plus lunch in our office:
(1 hr) Review your take-home and walk the hiring team through your decisions and assumptions
(30 mins) Conversation with Addy about events and conferences and how you'll work together
(30 mins) Conversation with Zach, one of our Product Managers, about how you'll work cross-functionally with Product.
Final Call (15 mins, remote) - Conversation with our CEO

Here is the current makeup of our team:
Titus, Head of Marketing: (Owns strategy, domain expertise, and orchestration of the partnerships triangle.) Over a 15+ year career, I've been the first GTM/Marketing hire at five startups, embedding with founding teams to find product-market fit before the company spends money scaling. I build Marketing & GTM functions from scratch, ship code, close deals, and design the systems that turn early traction into repeatable revenue. Love to 🏂 and 🏍️. Claude 🤖 certified.
Amrit, Data Science: (Owns the enrichment, data, and attribution plumbing) Studied CS & English at Cornell; Data Scientist at Enigma; Public Interest Technology Fellow at the New York Public Library. Enjoys mending, maintenance & buying junk on eBay.
Addy, Marketing Specialist, Events & Conferences (Owns the shows where many of our clients and partners meet us)
Matt (Head of Sales), Royce (AE Manager), Derek (SDR Manager): the front line you enable; the SDR team owns converting the leads you and the partners create into SQLs
How the marketing pod divides: the Head of Marketing sets strategy and orchestrates; you own the partner and co-op channel and its relationships, the Events & Conferences Specialist owns the conferences and regional events, and Data Science builds the enrichment, data, and attribution that all of it runs on. Marketing creates the conditions and generates MQLs; the SDR team converts them to SQLs.
Andrew (CTO): studied computer science & humanities at Stanford, worked as a software engineer at Apple and head of engineering at Anova; danced with the SF ballet (where he met his wife)! 🩰
Nick (CEO): studied math & computer science at Stanford; worked as a trader at Bridgewater & Citadel and as a PM at Google & Enigma; distantly related to the founder of the Hershey company 🍫
