GTM Founder's Associate

## Join truemetrics - Build technology to navigate the world truemetrics helps organizations to navigate the world more efficiently. We are solving one of the biggest pain points in last mile delivery: how to get parcels, groceries, and food to the right door faster and more efficiently. Our technology sits in the smartphone of the courier and understands where they park, walk and enter a building. Our technology is right now mapping locations in Germany, Qatar, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and many other countries. ## Our traction YC-backed, profitable, and past €1.5M ARR - selling to enterprise carriers like GLS, DPD, and PostNord. The core works. Now the job is the take-off from €1M to €10M+: strengthening what's working today (**the now**) and discovering what's next (**the new**). ## Who we are We are a tech-driven, customer-obsessed company with a small but highly skilled team, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mapping and positioning. You'll work directly with the two founders. **Ingo (CEO)**, a serial founder with a background in engineering and tech consulting, leads go-to-market and customers. **Jan (CTO)**, with a PhD in control theory and a decade of engineering experience, leads tech and product. We thrive on autonomy, ownership, and speed—which means we're looking for curious problem-solvers who love tackling hard challenges and making an immediate impact. If you want structure, rigid processes, and a slow corporate environment, this is not the place for you. --- ## The role This is a founders’ associate role, working directly with the founders - no layer in between. You'll spend most of your time running and improving the engine that brings in new business, with real room to also help us figure out what comes next. **Path 1** - Run and grow the outbound engine. Own our outbound machine day to day: build and improve campaigns, manage the pipeline, support deals from discovery onward, and get involved in live customer POCs. You won't just execute an existing playbook - you'll be expected to question it, propose changes, and make it better as you learn it. **Path 2** - Support what's next. Alongside running outbound, you'll get real exposure to the exploratory side of the business: testing a new market or product angle, improving how we work , and producing content that supports the sales motion. You won't be handed a finished playbook and told to execute it forever - you'll be expected to learn it fast, question it, and improve it as you go. ## Your first 90 days * **By day 30 - ramp up.** Get set up on our tools, learn the real pipeline and playbook inside out, and follow at least one real deal end to end. Build a first campaign sequence from scratch, with support - not a copy of the template, but your own take on how it should work. Start reassessing our account list and what it means for our target market. * **By day 60 - increase autonomy.** Run outbound day to day with real independence, actively support 2-3 live deals from discovery onward, get meaningfully involved in an active customer POC, and land a first real conclusion on a new market or product opportunity you've been testing. * **By day 90 - own it.** Full day-to-day ownership of the outbound engine, at least one process improvement or GTM experiment carried from idea to a real, evaluated outcome, and a working signals process that helps the whole team know when it's the right moment to reach out to an account. ## What we're really looking for * You're curious and you push. You ask "why do we do it this way" and "can't we do this instead" - not to be difficult, but because you actually want to understand and improve things. We'd rather have someone who asks a lot of good questions than someone who only executes. * You want to be in the arena. You're energized by the commercial side of the business - reaching out to prospects, working deals, supporting live customer projects - not just studying it from a distance. Beyond that: * Fast learner, comfortable with ambiguity. This is a junior role, but not a scripted one - you'll often be figuring out the right approach as you go, with support from the founders. * Strong self-starter instincts. We're looking for someone who can make real progress with light direction, not someone who needs daily hand-holding - though plenty of support is there when you need it. * Good judgment under real stakes. Comfortable slowing down on genuinely ambiguous problems rather than jumping to the first answer. * Based in Berlin with a valid work permit. This is a full-time, on-site role (home-office 1 day/week is normal) working closely with the founders and the commercial team. * Additional languages are a plus, especially French, Italian, or Spanish, given real gaps in our current outbound coverage of those markets. ## Who thrives here We're open on background - the two must-haves above matter more than any résumé line. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants outsized exposure and responsibility rather than a slow, structured graduate program. People who tend to thrive here: * Recent graduates or early-career professionals (1-2 years) who want to learn commercial/GTM work by actually doing it, directly with the founders, rather than sitting several layers removed from customers. * People with some prior sales, business development, or customer-facing experience who are looking for a steeper learning curve and more ownership than a typical junior sales role offers. * Naturally curious, commercially minded people who like asking "why" and pushing on how things are done - even if they don't yet have a deep sales background. ### Previous startup experience wanted We're especially interested in applicants who have already worked in a startup and understand the pace, ambiguity, and ownership that come with it. Previous experience as a founders' associate is ideal: you'll already know what it means to switch quickly between execution, analysis, customer work, and open-ended problems while working directly with founders. --- ### Why join us? * **Real impact.** Your work ships into production and moves the company's direction - visibly, fast. * **Direct founder access.** Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team, no bureaucracy. * **Ownership from day one.** The right person won't take a predefined template - you'll push back and have your own idea of what this should be. We expect that, and we give you a say. * **Backed by the best.** Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Rebel Fund, and other top investors. * **Pick your own hardware.** Yearly budget - buy what you want and keep it. * **Equity package.** You're playing a key role; you should share in the upside. A meaningful equity package is planned for this position alongside salary. ### Why NOT to join us? If you need a team to help you got things done, a slow pace, if you are uncomfortable with uncertainty, or a job where you can coast without ownership, this isn't it. We move fast, iterate quickly, and expect everyone to contribute with initiative and creativity. ## How to apply * Include your **CV**. * Tell us **why you're a great fit - be specific.** Bonus: point to a time you originated something and drove it yourself, not as part of a defined playbook. Visa sponsorship is offered for this role.
