## Qualifications
* 3+ years of full-time professional experience.
* Experience selling technical software or infrastructure to engineering, ML, or platform teams.
* Ability to build pipeline and develop a sales motion from scratch, with clear examples of business you've personally won.
* Experience owning customer relationships after the sale, including adoption, retention, or expansion.
* Technical fluency and the ability to learn an unfamiliar product and work closely with engineers.
* AI-infrastructure sales experience is a strong plus.
## Company
Luminal (YC S25) builds an AI compiler and serving stack that optimizes models for faster, more efficient execution across accelerators. We're a small team working in person in San Francisco.
## Role
Be Luminal's first sales hire and take over our founder-led sales motion. You'll work directly with the founders to find the right buyers, sharpen our messaging, close business, and turn early customers into lasting relationships.
The role is approximately **50% pre-sales and 50% post-sales**:
* **Pre-sales:** Create pipeline, run discovery, coordinate technical evaluations with engineering, and own deals through closing.
* **Post-sales:** Coordinate onboarding, help customers adopt Luminal, maintain the account relationship, and grow usage through retention and expansion.
This is Luminal's lead commercial role, with the opportunity to build and lead our entire sales team as the company grows. You'll start hands-on, developing the playbook while doing the work yourself.
## Compensation
* Annual base salary: $175,000–$200,000 USD.
* On-target earnings (OTE): $250,000–$300,000 USD, including base salary and target variable compensation.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
