Hospitals run on three things: their people, their beds, and their supplies… and all are still managed with spreadsheets, phone calls, and gut instinct. Vitalize is building the system that runs it all intelligently, starting with labor—the biggest cost (nearly 60% of a hospital’s P&L) and the hardest operational problem.
We’re building the labor and capacity operating system for health systems—forecasting demand, matching the right staff to it automatically, and coordinating patients across the hospital.
The impact is real: we save hospitals millions in unnecessary labor spend, give clinical leaders back 10–20 hours every week, and are often the reason staff and leaders stay. This isn’t a nice-to-have—our customers pay 5–15x more than legacy incumbents because Vitalize is mission-critical software their hospitals rely on every single minute.
We’ve raised over $32M from top investors, and even our own customers.
We hire and grow everyone against the same four values. Each one comes from a real Vitalize story—interview with us to hear them!
🚗 Push the Car. Step in regardless of role. We help wherever we're needed, own problems end to end, and don't stay in our lane. People can count on us.
🏥 Premier 1K. We show up for our customers, always. Nearly everyone visits a customer site in their first month, and customer feedback informs everything we do.
🗣️ Run Towards the Ugly. Name the ugliest truth first, then propose the fix. Candor over comfort—we call out what's broken, and never get complacent. This shapes our craft.
💡 Think Bigger Fridays. See the gap, fill it—no permission required. Every decision is an experiment: we run it, let the results decide, and drive real impact from day one.
We're looking for our first Head of Marketing to build the function from the ground up. You'll define the strategy, establish how marketing operates, determine where we invest, and hire the team that will help take Vitalize through its next stage of growth.
In the beginning, you'll do a little bit of everything. You'll spend time with customers, launch campaigns, shape product positioning, partner closely with Sales, build our brand, and create the playbook that future marketers will inherit. Over time, you'll build the organization around you. You'll decide which capabilities to hire first, how the team should evolve, and what great marketing looks like at Vitalize. This isn't an opportunity to manage an existing team; it's an opportunity to build one.
Marketing should become one of Vitalize's primary growth engines. As the marketing leader, you'll own the function end-to-end. You'll bring an operator's mindset to the role, owning the strategy to drive enterprise pipeline, shape how the market understands Vitalize, support our sales organization, launch new products, build our employer brand, and establish us as the defining company in healthcare operations.
This is a true builder's role. You'll define the strategy, establish the operating cadence, hire great people, and create the systems that allow marketing to scale. At the same time, we expect you to remain deeply connected to the work itself. You should enjoy interviewing customers, writing positioning, reviewing creative, digging into data, partnering with Sales, and launching campaigns just as much as building teams and setting strategy. We're looking for a leader who believes the best executives never become too far removed from the craft.
Build the marketing organization—Our marketing organization does not exist at the moment. You'll design the strategy, define how the team operates, establish priorities, and hire exceptional people
Build a marketing engine that drives growth—Marketing exists to accelerate the business. You'll develop the playbook that consistently generates enterprise pipeline, strengthens our position in the market, enables our Sales team to win, and supports long-term revenue growth. You'll partner closely with Sales and Growth Operations to understand where growth comes from, identify where marketing can create leverage, and continuously improve the engine. Success in this role won't be measured by campaigns launched—it will be measured by business outcomes
Turn customer success into our greatest competitive advantage—We believe the best marketing we'll ever create won't come from us. It'll come from the clinical leaders whose hospitals we've transformed. You'll spend time with customers, visit hospitals, listen to implementation calls, and deeply understand how Vitalize changes healthcare operations. Those insights will become the foundation for everything we create—from demand generation to thought leadership
Shape how the market understands Vitalize—You'll define how customers, candidates, investors, and the broader healthcare industry understand who we are. That includes product marketing, positioning, launches, communications, employer brand, customer advocacy, executive events, and public narrative. Every story we tell should be grounded in real customer outcomes and reinforce why Vitalize is becoming the category leader in healthcare operations
Build a team people want to join—As the company grows, you'll recruit and develop high-performing marketers who combine ambition with humility, ownership with curiosity, and creativity with execution
High-growth B2B SaaS experience—You've built and scaled marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS company. You know how to create a strategy, establish an operating cadence, and build the systems that allow marketing to scale alongside the business
Marketing engine expertise—You understand how demand generation, product marketing, customer marketing, brand, communications, events, and sales enablement work together to drive enterprise growth—and how those priorities evolve as a company grows
Enterprise SaaS expertise—You've marketed complex products with long sales cycles, multiple executive stakeholders, and high-value deals. You know how marketing partners with Sales to influence meaningful pipeline and revenue
Customer obsession—You naturally spend time with customers, uncover what matters most to them, and turn those insights into positioning, campaigns, product launches, and compelling stories
Team building—You know how to hire, develop, and coach high-performing marketers while creating a culture of ownership, curiosity, and high standards
Player-coach mindset—You enjoy setting strategy, but you're equally excited to write messaging, review creative, launch campaigns, analyze pipeline, and stay close enough to the work to know what great looks like
Judgement—You know how to prioritize, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and focus your team's energy on the highest-leverage opportunities instead of trying to do everything
