We're helping businesses across Australia and New Zealand start, survive and succeed. As the way businesses work changes, we're changing too.
Accounting and bookkeeping practices across Australia and New Zealand rely on MYOB Practice to run their firms and serve their clients. Their world is changing fast. Practices are serving more clients with fewer people, and AI is changing what accounting work looks like. Our job is to give them a connected platform that does more of the work for them, built on our own products and a growing set of partners and integrations.
We're looking for a Head of Product to help lead that work.
This is a role for an exceptional people leader and product coach. You'll connect strategy to execution, grow brilliant product people and create an environment where teams have the context and confidence to make great decisions.
Practice is at the start of its next phase of growth. Over the past few years we've built the core of a modern platform, including our own ledger, tax and practice management products, alongside strong partnerships and a growing set of integrations. Now we're bringing those pieces together into one connected platform that practices can run their whole firm on, with AI doing more of the work.
You'll lead a talented team of Product Managers and Domain Experts through that growth, partnering closely with Design, Technology, Product Marketing, Sales and Support. You'll set clear priorities, make the calls on where we invest, and build a product team that can turn our strategy into products practices choose and keep choosing.
This is a role where you’ll shape what Practice becomes next and lead the team that brings that vision to life
Lead and grow great people by coaching Product Managers and Domain Experts, lifting product craft, and giving people the context and guardrails to make decisions closer to the work.
Connect strategy to delivery by turning business goals into clear product priorities and roadmaps that teams can confidently execute.
Lead the way with AI by using it meaningfully in your own work, encouraging experimentation, and embedding AI-native ways of working across Practice.
Lead through complexity across a broad portfolio of established and cloud products, simplifying where it makes sense and making clear calls on where we invest.
Partner across the business by working closely with Design, Technology, Product Marketing, Sales, Support and senior leaders.
You're an experienced product leader who gets as much satisfaction from growing great people as you do from building great products.
Proven experience leading and coaching product teams, with a track record of developing Product Managers and lifting team capability.
Strong software product experience, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment.
The ability to connect business strategy, product strategy and delivery across multiple teams.
The judgement to make hard prioritisation calls, and the confidence to explain and hold those trade-offs with senior leaders.
Advanced use of AI in your own work. You use it to research, analyse, prototype and build, and you can show how it has changed the way you and your teams operate.
Experience leading teams through change, ambiguity or transformation.
Strong stakeholder skills and the credibility to influence senior leaders while empowering the people around you.
Experience in accounting or professional services software is a bonus, not a requirement.
You'll join Practice at the start of a growth story, while we're also changing how product gets built, how decisions get made and how AI becomes part of everyday product delivery. You'll have real influence over both, and the chance to build a stronger, more capable product organisation around you.
If you're a product leader who loves growing people, solving complex problems and challenging how things have always been done, we'd love to hear from you.
