In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. Here, you may interact with caregivers and providers across all inpatient units and may occasionally float to the Emergency Department (ED). As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) on the team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to patients, families, visitors and other caregivers to promote and support positive patient experiences. Your work allows the nurse to focus solely on the patient by alleviating them from having to complete administrative/clerical tasks. This role provides the opportunity to further your education, a pathway to pursue magnet and a steppingstone to climbing the clinical ladder.
A PRN caregiver in this position works varying, as-needed, shifts including 7:00AM – 3:30PM or 3:00PM – 11:30PM.
