Position Overview

SS&C Health is seeking an AI & Automation Intern to help accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence and intelligent automation across our healthcare business. This internship offers hands-on experience working with leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, enhance client experiences, and support the development of innovative healthcare technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is passionate about emerging technologies and wants to apply AI to solve real-world business challenges within one of the healthcare industry's leading technology organizations.

What You'll Do

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve business processes, product capabilities, and client outcomes.
• Research emerging AI technologies, tools, and industry trends relevant to healthcare and enterprise software.
• Build prototypes, prompts, workflows, and proof-of-concepts using generative AI and automation platforms.
• Assist with documenting business requirements, current-state processes, and future-state AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams on strategic AI initiatives.
• Analyze business processes and recommend opportunities for increased efficiency through automation.
• Support AI pilots by collecting feedback, measuring results, and documenting lessons learned.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and executive-ready materials summarizing recommendations and project outcomes.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute ideas that support SS&C Health's innovation strategy.
• Complete assigned projects independently while managing priorities and meeting established deadlines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Automation, or Digital Transformation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration tools.

Preferred Skills

• Process mapping or workflow analysis
• Prompt engineering
• Power Automate, Power Apps, Blue Prism, UiPath, or similar automation platforms
• Python, SQL, or basic scripting experience
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Interest in healthcare technology, payer, PBM, or provider markets
