POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Housekeeping Inspector, you serve as an ambassador of quality and excellence, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces reflect the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and luxury service. Through careful inspection, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you support the housekeeping team in delivering an exceptional and seamless guest experience, while also contributing hands-on as a working team member by performing Room Attendant duties, including cleaning guest rooms, as needed to support operational demands.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Inspect guest rooms to ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, presentation, and service standards.
• Verify rooms are properly stocked with amenities, linens, and guest supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections of public areas, corridors, elevators, restrooms, employee areas, and other housekeeping-maintained spaces.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and cleanliness deficiencies.
• Ensure all inspected areas are guest-ready and meet hotel expectations prior to release.

• Perform Room Attendant duties, including cleaning stayover, departure, occupied, and vacant guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Clean assigned rooms whenever occupancy levels, staffing shortages, or operational needs require additional support.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects, VIP arrivals, special requests, and other departmental initiatives.
• Support the housekeeping team in achieving daily productivity and room readiness goals.

• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to Room Attendants to ensure consistent quality standards.
• Assist with training and onboarding new housekeeping team members.

• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and security concerns immediately.

• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:  

·         High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

·         Minimum of one year of hotel housekeeping experience required.

·         Previous room inspection experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

·         Ability to use housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment effectively.

·         Ability to follow instructions and standard cleaning procedures.

·         Knowledge of basic cleaning agents and safe handling practices.

·         Familiarity with safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Personal Skills:

·         Strong attention to detail and pride in creating a clean, welcoming space.

·         Positive attitude and effective communication skills.

·         Team player who supports a respectful work environment.

Physical Skills:

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

·         Comfortable pushing carts and lifting items up to 50 lbs

Other:

·         Hotel Granduca operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, scheduling may vary based on operational needs, including shifts, start times, and total hours worked per week.
