You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers for the UK and German Hubs, providing practical HR support while taking ownership of key processes and activities. Alongside delivering high-quality day-to-day HR support, you’ll contribute to our annual people programmes, use data and employee feedback to identify opportunities, and help us continuously improve how we deliver HR.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone building their HR career who has strong foundational HR knowledge, enjoys taking ownership and wants to develop broad generalist experience within a collaborative European HR team.

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Support

• Act as a trusted first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries.
• Support managers and employees with clear, timely and practical guidance.
• Support employee relations matters, including performance, absence, grievance and disciplinary processes, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
• Help foster an open and positive working environment by supporting early resolution of concerns and encouraging constructive dialogue.
• Ensure HR policies, processes and employment practices are up to date and applied consistently and effectively.

Employee Engagement & Experience

• Coordinate on-site engagement activities that reinforce our Great Place to Work culture.
• Support delivery of employee listening initiatives, including engagement surveys, focus groups and resulting action plans.
• Partner with our Employee Resource Groups to deliver an annual calendar of events and initiatives.
• Bring fresh ideas to enhance employee connection, recognition and team culture.
• Support initiatives that strengthen inclusion, wellbeing and the overall employee experience.

Talent & Development

• Support key talent and development activities, including the annual talent cycle, learning programmes and local capability-building initiatives.
• Coordinate local and global development programmes and learning activities.
• Help employees and managers understand and access available learning and development opportunities.
• Support the delivery of training sessions, workshops and other development experiences.

Reward & Benefits

• Support annual people processes including merit and bonus administration, working closely with HR colleagues and specialist teams.
• Support the administration and communication of employee benefits and reward programmes.
• Help ensure employees have clear, accessible and up-to-date information about their benefits and reward offering.

HR Operations & Process Excellence

• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring data integrity across HR systems.
• Process job changes, promotions and other employee changes accurately and efficiently.
• Act as a key point of contact for employee changes and HR operational queries, partnering with our HR operations teams where required.
• Look for opportunities to simplify processes, improve self-service and create a better employee and manager experience.

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

• Deliver a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new starters.
• Coordinate key employee lifecycle activities and documentation.
• Support offboarding processes, including exit interviews, identifying themes and sharing relevant insights.

People Data & Insights

• Use HR data and reporting to identify trends and provide insights that support people and business priorities.
• Contribute to dashboards and analysis across areas such as employee relations, engagement, turnover and other key people metrics.

HR Projects, Change & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with the HR team on projects that enhance our HR offering, strengthen engagement or improve processes.
• Contribute ideas and challenge existing ways of working with a forward-thinking, solution-oriented mindset.
• Play an active role in continuously improving how we deliver HR support to our people and managers.

Experience you’ll bring:

• A foundational understanding of HR practices and UK employment law, supported by relevant study and hands-on experience.
• Experience supporting across different stages of the employee lifecycle.
• An interest in using data and insights to understand people trends and improve the employee experience.

Behaviors you’ll need:

• Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with employees and managers at different levels.
• A proactive and curious approach, with a willingness to take ownership, learn and continuously improve.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Confidence working collaboratively while also being comfortable taking responsibility for your own areas of work.
• High levels of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

About us:

We are the people behind method + ecover. We’ve always done things differently – we’re fearless thinkers, mad scientists and adventurous designers who believe that making soap leads to brave ideas, bold inventions and beautiful bubbles. We started small but we have big plans to make the world a cleaner, greener, more colourful place. We invite everyone to join us as we pioneer a future where doing business is doing good for all.

Let’s get one thing straight – you’re not coming here to just sell soap, or cleaning products. You’re joining us to move the hearts, souls and minds of others all over the world that see the world differently. We think about cleaning as an act of creative expression, a gesture of rebellion, and, yes, an escape from the normal. We take cleaning seriously – but not ourselves.

Alongside our friends Mrs Meyers and Babyganics, we are collectively known as Lifestyle Brands and are part of the SC Johnson family.
