You will provide advisory support and contribute to fostering an engaging, diverse, and high-performing work environment.

The HR EMEA team supports employees across 10 countries (Austria, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates), providing timely, high-quality advice and guidance to business leaders across divisions. This includes support on functional HR topics aligned with DWS’ strategy, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.

The team collaborates extensively across HR functions to implement policies, processes, and initiatives that support both company-wide and divisional objectives.

Your responsibilities

As an HR Business Advisory Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related queries.
• Supporting onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Coordinating and supporting the local implementation of global HR initiatives.
• Maintaining HR systems and ensuring data accuracy (e.g., Workday).
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitating communication between HR and the business.
• Supporting HR projects, policy implementation, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with local labour laws and internal HR policies.

We are looking for

• Relevant experience in HR operations, HR administration, shared services or a comparable employee-lifecycle role.
• Working knowledge of local labour law and HR practices.
• Experience using HR information systems; familiarity with Workday is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
• A service-oriented, proactive and solution-focused approach, with sound judgement regarding when to resolve, clarify or escalate an issue.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with HR data, reports and process controls.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, managers and HR colleagues across functions and locations.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, international HR environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with process improvement, HR transformation, digital tools or responsible applications of artificial intelligence in HR would be an advantage.
• Fluency in German and English. Proficiency in another EMEA language would be an advantage.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

What we’ll offer you:

DWS’ Hybrid Working model is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, which is core to our working culture, and working from home. Each business group varies on the split between time spent in the office and at home, but this will be discussed and made clear as part of your application and interview process. We will continue to review and evolve our working environments and methods to ensure that we are working in the best way possible for our people.

If you require any adjustments or changes to be made to the interview process for any reason including, or related to a disability or long-term health condition, then please contact your recruiter and let them know what assistance you may need. Examples of adjustments include providing a change to the format of the interview, or providing assistance when at the DWS office. This will not affect your application and your recruitment team will discuss options with you.
