Guidance & Coaching: Provide standard professional advice to employees and line managers on country-specific policies, procedures, and daily management matters.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Compliance & Legal Alignment: Stay up to date on Japanese labor laws, employee benefit plans, and regulatory requirements to ensure daily workplace compliance and reduce operational risk.
Reporting & Process Improvement: Modify local HR processes and create initial reporting/analyses for review by senior HR leadership to optimize local efficiency.

Native or fluent Japanese (spoken and written) and professional English proficiency, required to bridge communication between local teams and global stakeholders.
High level of empathy, discretion, problem-solving ability, and accountability when handling sensitive employee issues and workplace changes.
Solid understanding of Japanese employment standards, local leave administration, and employee benefits.
