We believe exceptional companies are built by exceptional teams, and we're intentional about it. That means hiring great people, setting them up for success from day one, and giving them real reasons to grow their careers here. We invest in development that goes beyond promotions, and we foster the trust and relationships that help people do their best work together.

What’s the role?

As an HR Business Associate, you’ll support several more senior HR Business Partners and the managers and employees of the teams they support across Etsy. You’ll own assigned work, handle straightforward people questions using established policies and practices, and seek guidance on complex or sensitive matters. You’ll build skills in employee relations, performance, compensation, and hiring through hands-on work, shadowing, and feedback from experienced HRBPs. This role is a first step into HR Business Partnering for someone who takes ownership, follows through, is curious, and wants to learn.

• We operate as thought partners, working side-by-side with leaders to understand business context and solve real challenges.
• The team values ownership and follow-through which means we trust each other to take the lead and deliver high-impact work. You’ll learn from experienced Senior HRBPs and leaders, with opportunities to take on increasingly complex and strategic work as you grow.
• We share knowledge openly, give direct and constructive feedback, and actively support each other’s development. There’s a strong sense of collaboration and flexibility and we step in where needed and navigate ambiguity together.
• We’re continuously evolving how we work, iterating on HRBP processes, programs, and ways of working to improve impact.
