JOB SUMMARY
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Workday professional who sees HR technology as more than a system to maintain. This is a consultative, solution-oriented role for someone who is curious about the business, thinks ahead, and proactively brings ideas for how Workday can better support our people, HR teams, and organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on Workday expertise with eagerness to listen, challenge assumptions, evaluate options, and turn business needs into thoughtful solutions. You will work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), HRIT, and other partners to understand what they are trying to accomplish and help determine the best path forward.
We are looking for someone who can bridge Workday leading practices with the realities of our business. That means bringing expertise and a point of view while remaining flexible, approaching challenges with a “how can we solve this?” mindset, and recognizing that the best solution is developed in partnership with the people who use it.
This role will have a primary focus on at least 2 of the following modules: Workday Advanced Compensation, Benefits, and HCM, while supporting broader Workday capabilities as business needs evolve. You should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution: advising stakeholders, identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, configuring Workday, solving complex issues, and continuously improving how we use the platform.
What Success Looks Like
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Think like a consultant. You seek to understand the business need behind a request and recommend the best solution.
- Bring solutions forward proactively. You stay curious about Workday capabilities, releases, emerging functionality, and leading practices and connect those opportunities to real business needs.
- Balance leading practice with practicality. You understand how Workday is designed to operate while recognizing that solutions must work for our business, employees, and HR teams.
- Build strong partnerships. You work alongside COEs, HRBPs, HRIS colleagues, HRIT, and other stakeholders as a trusted and engaged partner in business discussions and solution design.
- Comfortable challenging and being challenged. You bring a thoughtful point of view, ask good questions, explore alternatives, and remain open to different perspectives.
- Own outcomes. You see work through, from problem definition and solution design to configuration, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Look beyond today’s request. You consider scalability, employee experience, data, downstream impacts, and future needs when designing solutions.
- A team-first problem solver. You share knowledge, collaborate across functional teams, and focus on finding the right answer, remaining open to approaches that best support shared goals.
