About the role:

Ensure the implementation of standardized solutions for the industrialization of metal stamped and injection molded components, fostering the development of a robust base of tool suppliers in Asia, with high attention to Safety, product Quality and Manufacturing Cost.

As part of a Group level team, this position offers the candidate the opportunity of gaining experience in a high variety of internally manufactured products and to interact with engineering teams distributed globally across our manufacturing sites.

Areas of competence: metal stamping and injection molding tooling.

What you’ll do:

This role shall act as a crucial pivotal point to support the development of projects for metal stamping and injection molding tools sourced in Asia to be delivered to our manufacturing locations globally.

The position requires a strong interaction with the manufacturing project engineers located in our manufacturing sites, starting from the early stages of the development of any new project and ensuring a successful management of the tooling supplier base:

• Participating in the RFQ phase, understanding and transferring the needs of the customer Electrolux site.
• Supporting technical alignment of quotations, striving for receiving answers on timely manner.
• Participating in tool design reviews and in the clarification of technical requirements.
• Monitoring tool construction progress and raw material delivery.
• Supporting tool and part approval phases.
• Interacting with supplier in case of need of improvement in the process or part quality prior to tool shipment.

In close collaboration with the CapEx team, will actively participate in the consolidation of the toolmaker base in Asia, as well as in the identification of new potential suppliers able to provide solutions according to Electrolux expectations at the best cost.

Who you are:

• At least 10 years of experience in development of tooling for injection molded and metal stamped parts.
• Practical knowledge in metal forming and injection molding tool design and construction techniques.
• Knowledge of injection molding, metal processability and formability.
• Good understanding of product drawings and dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Project management skills and tools.
• Willingness to travel.
• Good analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural teams, open and innovative mindset.
• Goal-oriented, persevering, focused on quality.
• Self-organized, able to share attention between short and long-term goals.
• Friendly personality, open for cooperation with other people.
• Fluent Chinese and English communication.
