The Reverse Supply Chain Operations team in Eindhoven is responsible for coordinating returned, defective, and incorrectly delivered materials across ASML's global supply chain. Today, the handling of No Fault Found (NFF) materials is spread across multiple teams and processes. No Fault Found (NFF) materials are returned parts that are initially believed to be defective, but where no fault is found after investigation. As a result, it is not always clear how the process flows, where bottlenecks occur, and who is responsible for specific decisions, creating opportunities for greater transparency and alignment. In this internship, you will help create transparency by mapping, analyzing, and improving the end-to-end process, supporting a more standardized and effective way of managing NFF materials across the organization.
In this internship, you will investigate how No Fault Found materials are currently handled across different departments within the reverse supply chain. You will work to create a clear overview of the end-to-end process, identify ownership, responsibilities, and improvement opportunities, and translate your findings into a standardized operating framework. By combining process analysis, stakeholder input, and data insights, you will help establish a more transparent and scalable way of working. Your main responsibilities will be:
Map and document the current process for handling No Fault Found materials across different teams
Identify roles, responsibilities, and handover points throughout the process
Analyze where bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or unclear ownership exist
Collect insights from stakeholders and translate them into process improvements
Develop recommendations for a more standardized and effective way of working
Create process documentation, decision trees, and performance indicators to support future implementation
This is a bachelor/master (non-thesis) internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 32 hours per week (4 days on-site). The start date is flexible, but preferarbly as soon as possible.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
Have an interest in process improvement, operations, and supply chain management
Are analytical and enjoy understanding how processes work across different teams
Take initiative, ask questions, and actively look for improvement opportunities
Communicate clearly in English and can collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
