DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.
This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include JustEat Takeaway, The Macallan, easyJet, TikTok, and eBay.
THE ROLE
DEPT's influencer practice runs creator programmes for brands across EMEA. We want creators in the plan from the first brief: shaping the brand's idea, feeding paid media and search, and reaching people in the communities where they already trust the voices they follow. We're hiring a senior strategist to lead that thinking on our client work.
You'll decide where creators earn their place in a client's plan, before production or media budget is committed, and run that strategy from brief to plan on your own. You'll work with clients and colleagues across the three regions, much of it by video, alongside our media, search, social and creative teams and a growth team that leads on new business. You'll be based in our Budapest office, where we're growing the influencer team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead influencer strategy on priority client accounts across EMEA, from interrogating the brief to the plan our delivery teams work from.
- Bring creators in early, while the brand's idea can still change, so they test and shape it before it goes into production.
- Plan creator work with our Paid Social, Social, SEO and GEO, and Creative teams, so it's part of the integrated plan from day one.
- Support our growth strategist on pitches where influencer thinking decides the win.
- Feed what you learn on live accounts into the propositions we take to clients.
- Review strategy work across the three regions and coach the strategists in each hub, so the standard is the same wherever the work is done.
HOW WE’LL MEASURE SUCCESS
- Clients and delivery teams can act on your strategies without rework.
- The accounts you lead grow, through new scopes and repeat work.
- Pitches you support show a clear influencer idea that clients respond to.
- Strategy work across the hubs gets sharper, and the strategists you coach take on more on their own.
WHO YOU ARE
- Seven or more years as a digital marketing strategist, preferably within an agency environment, and, with creator, creative and social work as a foundational part of it.
- You can show an influencer strategy that won a pitch, grew an account or developed the business, and explain the thinking behind it.
- You know how creator content works with paid media, search and commerce, and you've planned for all three.
- You present clearly to senior clients in professional-level English. German or Dutch is a plus.
- You interrogate briefs deeply before you answer them.
- You work well with teams and brands across cultures.
- You are excellent at managing your own time and happy to dive into research, analysis, and synthesis without supervision.
- You're curious about how AI search and private channels are changing where people find and trust brands, and what that means for creators.

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.
We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.
At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.
Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.
We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
