We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Infrastructure Delivery Governance & Assurance Manager to join us in our Infrastructure Delivery - Commercial Delivery team in Brisbane on a full-time basis. This team leads the governance, assurance and project controls frameworks that underpin the safe, compliant and effective delivery of APA’s major infrastructure and capital projects.
Reporting to the Head of Delivery Controls, Governance & Assurance you will play a key role in shaping and embedding governance and assurance practices across the Infrastructure Delivery portfolio. You will drive the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose frameworks, enable disciplined decision-making through stage gate and reporting processes, and provide trusted insights on risk, performance and controls to support confident delivery outcomes across APA’s projects.
Key Responsibilities
Extensive experience in governance, assurance and project controls within complex infrastructure, capital delivery, or regulated environments
Proven ability to design, implement, and embed governance frameworks that support large-scale project portfolios and drive disciplined delivery outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement capability, with demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders, executive forums, and cross-functional teams
Deep understanding of risk, assurance, and controls frameworks, with the ability to translate insights into clear decision-making guidance
Highly developed strategic thinking and commercial acumen, including familiarity with delivery models (e.g., NEC or similar contract frameworks)
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting assurance outcomes, insights, and recommendations to governance boards
Your background
Experience leading the development, uplift, and continuous improvement of governance and assurance frameworks within complex infrastructure projects and portfolios.
A proactive and experienced leader that can work with multiple stakeholders in a matrix style infrastructure delivery operating model.
Proven success implementing infrastructure delivery stage-gate frameworks, portfolio performance management, and governance arrangements, including associated forums and decision-making processes.
Ability to partner closely with delivery and controls teams to embed governance standards, controls, thresholds, and reporting disciplines
Provide expert advice on emerging risks, issues, and performance trends, enabling timely, informed executive decision-making
About the Team
The Commercial Delivery team supports the successful delivery of APA’s Infrastructure Delivery portfolio by providing functional leadership and specialist capability across estimating, bid management, project controls, governance & assurance, and commercial management throughout the full project delivery lifecycle.
