Lead a multidisciplinary team of automation engineers, process analysts, and AI specialists and may lead other leaders (Managers / Leads) across geographies, to design, build, and scale intelligent automation solutions that create measurable business value.
Partner with stakeholders across the business to define use-cases, requirements, and business needs for workflow, business process management and automation across multiple functions and geographies within BSAM.
Lead the business case creation for automation initiatives, owning prioritization and investment decisions at a portfolio level, and ensuring expected benefits are achieved.
End-to-end value realization: define benefit baselines, track realized ROI across the automation portfolio, and report outcomes to VP and executive leadership with disciplined cadence.
Collaborate with CoE, Process Excellence, and Delivery teams to establish a structured automation intake framework, governing regional prioritization, funding allocation, and sequencing based on strategic value and complexity.
Lead end-to-end process reengineering efforts prior to automation at a regional scale, applying Lean / Six Sigma principles to standardize and harmonize processes across markets.
Define and execute the vendor selection strategy for automation tooling, owning strategic vendor relationships, ecosystem decisions, and long-term technology roadmap for the region.
Embed Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into automation workflows, driving enterprise adoption and identifying scalable use cases across BSAM markets.
Drive a process mining practice to generate insights on process performance and identify high-impact regional transformation opportunities.
Keep abreast of trends and emerging technologies and lead their strategic adoption at a regional level, acting as a transformation and change agent.
Architect a scalable, regional automation operating model, including CoE governance, development standards, and reusable frameworks that enable deployment at scale.
Own governance/process and manage automation activities for assigned process deliverables across multiple functions and countries.
Lead agile delivery of automation programs and oversee multiple concurrent workstreams or portfolios, ensuring SLA adherence and delivery excellence.
Serve as the primary escalation point and strategic advisor to senior and executive stakeholders, ensuring automation solutions are adopted and continuously improved.
Establish and enforce a quality assurance framework ensuring consistent standards across all BSAM markets and teams.
Measure, monitor, assess and optimize the value delivered by automation investment at a regional portfolio level.
Evaluate and manage potential offshoring or nearshoring models, ensuring governance, scalability, and alignment with regional delivery strategy.
Foster servant leadership and create a culture embracing innovation, continual learning and improvement across distributed teams and leadership layers.
People leader, responsible for all aspects of employee engagement, including leading leaders, coaching, and building future leadership capability.
Optimize team effectiveness, enhance service delivery, and support employee work/life balance. Establish and implement effective succession planning at a leadership level.
Skills / Knowledge:
Ability to develop and execute enterprise and regional strategic vision, roadmap, and transformation initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of business processes for multiple functions across different markets.
Deep expertise in process reengineering methodologies, with ability to lead large-scale, cross-market transformations.
Proficiency with leading RPA platforms (UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate) and adjacent intelligent automation tools, combined with the ability to define technology strategy at scale.
Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages commonly used in automation and RPA environments, including:
Python (automation scripting, AI/ML integration, data processing, API orchestration)
C# / .NET (UiPath advanced development, custom activities, integrations)
JavaScript (Power Automate, web automation, low-code extensions)
VBA / SQL (data manipulation, legacy automation, reporting automation)
Ability to guide development teams in building scalable RPA solutions using best coding practices, reusable components, and modular architectures.
Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs, with experience integrating them into RPA workflows (e.g., document understanding, intelligent classification, conversational automation).
Hands-on understanding of RPA solution architecture, including:
Bot orchestration (UiPath Orchestrator / Power Platform environments)
Exception handling frameworks and logging strategies
Queue-based automation and unattended bot scaling
API-based integrations and system interoperability
Demonstrated experience in vendor selection strategy and ownership of strategic partnerships and ecosystem decisions.
Ability to drive change & transform organizations, including influencing senior executives and aligning regional stakeholders.
Highly effective communication skills with strong executive presence and storytelling capability.
Exceptionally strong analytical and evaluation skills, with ability to support high-impact decision making under ambiguity.
Ability to manage multiple portfolios, stakeholders, and competing regional priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization, including VP-level stakeholders and above.
Strategic and agile mindset with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
8+ years of progressive leadership experience, with significant exposure to intelligent automation, digital transformation, or process excellence.
Proven experience leading regional or enterprise-wide automation or transformation programs.
Demonstrated experience managing portfolios (vs. individual projects) with measurable business impact (ROI, cost savings, efficiency gains).
Bilingual Spanish - English (Level C1 or above — written and spoken).
Strong experience with Agile delivery frameworks applied to large-scale programs or portfolios
Proven experience interacting with and influencing executive leadership (VP level and above).
Experience leading process reengineering initiatives at scale across multiple functions or markets.
Proven track record in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and strategic vendor management.
Certification in RPA platforms and/or Lean Six Sigma strongly preferred.
Proven ability to deliver complex, high-impact transformation initiatives in ambiguous and multi-market environments.
High degree of independent leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to lead through influence in a regional/global context.
