A Data Governance department ensures that an Edwards’s data is accurate, complete, and used responsibly. We are responsible for Healthcare Practitioner Master, (HCP), Customer Master, Supplier Master, Employee Master & Pricing Master. It defines policies, standards, and processes to manage data quality, access, and compliance with regulations. The team collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to maintain data integrity, reduce risks, and enable informed decision-making. By establishing clear ownership and accountability, the department transforms data into a trusted and asset that supports operational efficiency and strategic growth.
How you will make an impact:
A data governance intern can deliver meaningful impact within 6 months by progressing from operational support to value-added contributions. Initially, they handle master data tasks and reduce team workload. By months 2–4, they improve data quality through cleansing, validation, and issue identification, enhancing accuracy and reliability. Midway, they support key initiatives like Coupa and data integration projects, contributing to testing and documentation. Towards the end, they identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and support governance compliance. Overall, the intern evolves into a “data steward-lite,” improving efficiency, enabling better data trust, and supporting strategic data governance initiatives.
