This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an International Growth Marketing Manager based in the United States.
The International Growth Marketing Manager will lead growth marketing strategy across five European markets: the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. This strategic role focuses on building market-specific plans that reflect local competition, channel performance, customer behavior, and business maturity. You will own European marketing budgets, determine investment priorities, and guide specialists across paid social, paid search, affiliate, influencer, retail media, and television advertising. Working closely with analytics, finance, agencies, and marketing leadership, you will strengthen measurement practices and turn performance insights into actionable growth opportunities. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution when needed, ensuring resources are directed toward the highest-impact initiatives. Your success will be measured by stronger marketing efficiency, improved attribution, smarter investment decisions, and measurable growth across European markets.
Accountabilities:
The International Growth Marketing Manager will own European growth marketing strategy, budget allocation, performance analysis, and cross-functional coordination. Key responsibilities include:
- European strategy and budget ownership
- Own the European marketing budget, including allocation across markets and channels, financial forecasting, and quarterly performance reporting to leadership.
- Develop tailored growth strategies for the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, taking into account each market’s maturity, competitive landscape, retail and direct-to-consumer mix, and growth opportunities.
- Make informed investment decisions across channels, adjusting budgets and priorities according to saturation, incremental returns, local performance, and market-specific needs.
- Build clear recommendations on where investment should increase, decrease, or shift across the European portfolio.
- Execution leadership and channel coordination
- Translate strategic objectives into clear briefs, priorities, and roadmaps for channel specialists responsible for execution.
- Establish a consistent operating cadence with regular market reviews, early identification of underperformance, and proactive reprioritization of resources.
- Coordinate specialist capacity across markets to ensure time and investment are directed toward the highest-impact opportunities.
- Maintain alignment between paid and organic marketing strategies, collaborating with SEO/AEO specialists, local teams, and agencies where applicable.
- Take a hands-on approach when urgent market needs, targeted experiments, or capacity constraints require direct execution.
- Performance management and measurement
- Own the European performance narrative, tracking revenue, customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on advertising spend (ROAS), and investment distribution by market and channel.
- Partner with marketing science and analytics teams to improve the reliability of performance measurement beyond platform-reported metrics.
- Identify and address gaps in attribution and incrementality measurement, prioritizing improvements in markets with less mature measurement capabilities.
- Determine the highest-value tests and investments for each market and quarter, building evidence-based business cases for action.
- Establish measurable performance targets and track progress against agreed objectives.
- Stakeholder and organizational leadership
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for European marketing plans and performance with leadership, Finance, and agency partners.
- Present clear, data-backed quarterly budget recommendations, explaining investment decisions, expected returns, and required adjustments.
- Influence channel specialists and cross-functional stakeholders through strong briefs, strategic direction, and collaboration rather than relying solely on formal reporting lines.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Global Paid Media to align European priorities with broader marketing objectives.
- During the first 90 days, audit all five markets, build relationships with key stakeholders and agency partners, deliver the initial market-specific strategic plan, and launch a high-impact improvement or test.
- Within the first year, establish individual strategies and budgets for all five markets, improve measurement in at least two priority markets, increase specialist effectiveness, and demonstrate measurable growth in one underperforming or under-invested market.
