The Inventory Control Analyst maintains accuracy between physical inventory and the financial ledger. You reconcile book to physical inventory across stores, fulfillment centers, distribution centers and corporate departments, resolve variances with Finance and field partners, and improve the inventory systems and processes that cause them. Using advanced Excel and AI tools, you turn inventory data into reporting, insights and clear recommendations that guide business decisions.
What you will do
- Inventory accuracy. Reconcile book to physical inventory through cycle counts and physical inventory. Analyze variances, MOS, damage, transfer and RTV activity to find the root causes of discrepancies and shrink.
- Data insights, reporting and storytelling. Use advanced Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas and dashboards, to analyze inventory, sales, shrink and transaction data. Build the weekly and monthly reporting on inventory accuracy, shrink and compliance that managers and field leaders rely on. Use AI tools such as Claude, alongside your own analysis, to spot trends and anomalies and speed up recurring reporting. Turn the findings into clear stories and recommendations that drive decisions and accountability.
