About the Role:
The IWD AI & Data Analytics Leader is a senior individual contributor and team lead role within the Global Center of Excellence for Warehousing & Distribution (IWD CoE). We are seeking an experienced analytics engineering professional who combines a strong affinity for logistics operations with a demonstrated passion for leading high-performing teams of data, analytics and AI professionals.
This role is accountable for shaping and driving valuable solutions, shaping the future IWD analytics landscape, including the development and implementation of valuable AI use cases across the IWD process and analytics domains throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the IWD data insights and analytics strategy, including a roadmap for delivering scalable analytics solutions and implementing AI capabilities to support operational excellence and continuous improvement providing smart solutions for improving cost and service management.
- Lead and manage a team of 4–5 FTEs within the IWD CoE organization, fostering professional development, collaboration, and high performance.
- Maintain and continuously improve in collaboration with IT IWD analytics solutions and user interfaces, including Transport Analytics, Warehouse Analytics, the OTTP dashboard, and PULSE (shipment analytics).
- Design AI solutions for effective exception-based insights, data enrichment, and improvements, as well as holistic KPI development across the IWD domain.
- Establish and maintain governance around data structures, reporting standards, and analytics frameworks within the IWD domain; act as the IWD Data Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Warehousing, Distribution, Global trade compliance, IT, Indirect Procurement, and business teams to identify and deliver analytics-driven improvements.
- Support operational excellence and drive harmonized process execution across business units and regions where applicable.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team and the broader CoE organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain analytics within a data, analytics, or intelligent automation environment. Full understanding of how data connects to logistics setup and execution.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing small- to mid-sized teams, preferably within a global or matrix organization.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, common data models, and analytics enablement.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise analytics platforms, BI solutions, AI technologies, and automation tools.
- Ability to balance global standardization requirements with local business needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels within a global matrix structure.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
