About Us
DBI Consultants are construction experts who specialize in evaluating damaged structures. Our mission is simple: provide clear, independent, and accurate recommendations backed by hard evidence and deep expertise. In a world of uncertainty, we bring our clients clarity and confidence.
The DBI Internship Experience is a well-organized and unique opportunity for high potential students in the AEC field. We supplement actual field and cost estimating experiences with custom training modules curated by The Learning Studio and facilitate companywide engagement with an Expert Speaker series. The Experience ends with a Capstone presentation to a small panel and a Team Leader review for potential future employment opportunities. Our goal is to hire 90% of Junior Estimators into entry-level permanent opportunities after completion of their degrees.

We are seeking Junior Estimators for a 10-week, 2027 Summer internship program across a dozen office locations throughout the US including: Atlanta, Chicago (Inverness), Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Riverside (CA), and San Antonio. Please indicate your preferred location(s) when applying.
The Opportunity
As a Junior Estimator, you will work alongside seasoned Estimators and Project Managers to learn how damage assessment projects are measured, documented, and presented. You will gain in-person experience from visiting project sites to gather data and collaborate with team members in the local office to learn how to prepare cost estimates. This is a paid internship offering between $20.00 - 27.50 per hour depending on education and experience.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the AEC field such as civil engineering or construction management.
Strong career interest in construction consulting, estimating, and project management.
Comfortable working full time in both office and field environments.
