Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team at VALEO INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply foundational mechanical engineering principles to the design and development of cutting-edge automotive systems, contributing to all phases from concept to production.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and company standards.
* Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) analysis to optimize designs for efficient and cost-effective production processes.
* Participate actively in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating input from cross-functional teams.
* Apply design rules and engineering principles to create robust and reliable mechanical solutions.
* Perform structural analysis on components and assemblies to ensure their integrity and performance under various operating conditions.
* Contribute to the overall systems design, understanding the interdependencies between different mechanical and electrical subsystems.
* Support quality control (QC) activities, including inspection and testing of prototypes and production parts.
* Prepare and execute test plans, analyze test data, and document results to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
* Maintain accurate and detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and thermodynamics.
* Familiarity with design software (e.g., CAD tools) and experience in creating detailed engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) concepts.
* Basic understanding of Design Reviews and Design Rules.
* Ability to perform basic Structural Analysis.
* Exposure to Systems Design principles.
* Awareness of Quality Control (QC) processes and methodologies.
* Experience or coursework in Test Preparation and execution.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
