Lead Brand Designer (Bangkok based, relocation provided)

A bit about the Brand team

Agoda’s Brand team brings together, brand managers, media planners, project managers, designers, and creatives. We shape how consumers, business partners, and employees experience Agoda, building recognition and brand trust. Working as an internal agency, we develop brand campaigns and marketing communications across digital channels, events, presentations, and other brand touchpoints.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Design Lead who combines exceptional design craft with experience managing and developing designers. This role carries both individual contributor and people management responsibilities. You will personally develop concepts and design key work, while guiding the team and raising the quality of its output.

A central focus will be making Agoda’s distinctive brand assets more recognizable, versatile, and effective through repeated use. You will shape how these assets appear across campaigns, channels, and markets, building familiarity while finding fresh, purposeful ways to express the brand.

You bring a refined eye for impactful design and a strong understanding of visual and message hierarchy. You can demonstrate your thinking through your own work, coach others to strengthen theirs, and use AI confidently in visual design and campaign development.

In this role you’ll get to

• Personally concept and design. Own design projects from brief through final execution, producing original work and contributing actively to the team’s everyday creative output.
• Strengthen Agoda’s distinctive brand assets. Develop consistent, inventive applications that make our assets more recognizable, versatile, and effective across touchpoints and over time.
• Lead and develop designers. Manage and coach the team, set clear expectations, and run constructive creative reviews. Give actionable feedback and demonstrate solutions through your own design work.
• Shape visual and message architecture. Work with copy, creative, and marketing partners to establish what audiences should notice first, understand next, and act on.
• Evolve our design guidelines. Develop practical principles, examples, and reusable resources that help teams and external partners use our brand assets consistently and imaginatively.
• Connect creative quality to business objectives. Present a clear rationale for design decisions, use audience insights and performance feedback to improve work, and balance priorities and deadlines. Collaborate with production specialists to carry the creative vision through delivery.
• Use AI to elevate design and brand campaigns. Apply AI tools confidently to develop campaign concepts, explore visual directions, and create and refine layouts and brand imagery. Guide the team in integrating AI into everyday design work while maintaining strong craft, clear message hierarchy, and consistent use of Agoda’s distinctive assets.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 10+ years of design experience within creative, branding, or advertising agencies, with a strong record of personally delivering high-quality brand and marketing communications.
• Proven experience managing and developing a team of designers, alongside an active individual contribution to concept development and execution.
• An outstanding portfolio that clearly distinguishes your own design work from projects you directed, demonstrating exceptional craft and your ability to elevate the work of others.
• A refined eye for typography, composition, imagery, color, and spacing, with the ability to create elegant, distinctive work suited to the brand and audience.
• Strong command of visual hierarchy and message architecture, including the ability to simplify complex information and create a clear relationship between headlines, supporting content, and calls to action.
• Experience developing brand guidelines and distinctive assets, with an understanding of how consistent, repeated use builds recognition across campaigns and formats.
• The ability to explain why a design works and translate your judgment into specific feedback that helps designers improve their craft and confidence.
• Excellent collaboration and presentation skills, with experience aligning stakeholders and balancing creative ambition with business objectives and delivery requirements.
• Strong practical proficiency in core design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for visual design and brand campaign development, with practical experience creating and refining layouts, imagery, and campaign concepts. A strong eye for evaluating and improving AI outputs, ensuring they meet the brief and reflect the brand’s identity.

It’s great if you have

• Experience working with global brands and adapting creative across markets, languages, and cultural contexts.
• Experience using brand research or creative testing to strengthen the recognition and effectiveness of distinctive brand assets.
• Experience collaborating with motion, film, and automation specialists, providing clear creative direction throughout production.
• Experience bringing agency standards of craft and creative development into an internal brand team.

What we offer

• The opportunity to shape Agoda’s visual expression and strengthen the impact of its distinctive brand assets.
• A role combining personal design ownership with the opportunity to develop a team and influence creative quality across the business.
• A collaborative environment with colleagues and specialist creative partners across disciplines.
• Opportunities to advance the use of AI and emerging creative tools while building on strong design foundations.
