Job Description Summary
Generator Accessories systems cover stator cooling water systems, seal oil systems and gas systems, all serving hydrogen cooled Generators across all legacy fleets. As a Lead Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and overseeing Nuclear and Conventional projects execution throughout all project phases. This covers complex support on Generator power uprates and Liquid Cooled Stator Rewinds (LCSR) through calculations, analyses and systems studies. Delivering state-of-the-art design solutions for Generator Accessory systems upgrades, modifications and necessary replacements. Performing basic and detailed design of new skids and/or single components such as pumps, filters, heat exchangers, valves etc. Solving technical issues and responding to Customer inquiries.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Providing technical leadership for generator accessories projects incl. OTD, tasks management and external resources coordination
Creation of basic and detail design documentation of Generator Accessory Systems
Performing calculations, analyses, and studies of existing installations
Propose and implement tailor-made, optimal, technical upgrade solutions
Performing on-site walkdowns for Generator Accessory Systems condition assessment
Ensuring on-time delivery and high quality of provided deliverables
Serving as a key point of contact for all business partners (including PM, PEM, Sourcing, Quality, and other Engineering teams)
Participation in the design reviews and conscientious execution of defined actions and tasks
Attending project risk reviews
Representing the team in Customer meetings
Collaborating closely with subcontractors and vendors from GE Vernova supply chain
Support Outage Optimization initiatives
Active participation in NPI (New Product Introduction)
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Embrace LEAN principles
Support tendering bids with specific calculations and recommendations
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Power Engineering or similar from an accredited college or university
3-5 years of professional experience in Power Industry orProcess Engineering
Good knowledge of engineering tools such as AutoCAD as well as MS Office
General knowledge of Power Plant processes & systems
Good knowledge in physics, fluid mechanics and industrial mechanical equipment, especially in power generation industry
Familiarity with international design standards for pressure retaining equipment, materials and technological processes
Willingness to travel
Coordination and Leadership skills
Fluent in written and spoken English and other foreign languages also appreciated
