Lead HVAC Installer
Burns & McBride Home Comfort | New Castle, DE
Experienced HVAC installers know that great work requires more than technical skill. It takes the right materials, clear communication, strong coordination, and a company that gives its field teams the support needed to complete installations correctly.
At Burns & McBride Home Comfort, we’re looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer who takes pride in craftsmanship, leads by example, and wants to work for a company that values quality over shortcuts. You’ll take ownership of residential installation projects, guide apprentices and helpers, and work closely with our sales, service, warehouse, and operations teams to keep jobs moving smoothly.
You’ll have the opportunity to make decisions in the field, develop less-experienced team members, and deliver installations you’re proud to put your name on. With steady work, strong operational support, and opportunities to continue growing, Burns & McBride offers experienced installers a place to build the next stage of their careers.

- Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure work meets manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and company standards.
- Review job information and communicate equipment, material, or scope concerns promptly.
- Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite.
- Explain system operation, maintenance expectations, and warranty information to homeowners.
- Complete accurate job documentation, equipment records, and required photos.
- Coordinate with sales, service, dispatch, warehouse, and leadership teams.
- Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and inventory.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience leading residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.

- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and code compliance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Applicable trade licenses or certifications preferred.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform physical work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and outdoor conditions.
