Key Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to drive excellence in test system development.
Define and control the standard documentation templates required for test solution technical files.
Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based test systems for electronic equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Implement automated test sequences and procedures to validate product functionality and performance.
Optimize and troubleshoot LabVIEW code for performance and maintainability.
Manage the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system deployment.
Define project timelines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality test systems.
Stay current with LabVIEW and electronic equipment testing best practices, trends, and technologies.
Act as the subject matter expert on LabVIEW within the team and provide technical guidance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, EHS, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of testing systems.
Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to improve product testability.
Use existing GE standard approved / industry standard technologies, tools and processes through carefully risk managed implementation plans.
Ensure test solutions comply with relevant safety & environmental legislation following guideline within the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The candidate will have solid experience of the full PCB Test Engineering development lifecycle and proven experience in LabVIEW programming and development.
LabVIEW certification.
Good knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits.
Familiar with emerging design for manufacture and design for test philosophies.
PREFERRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
