Job Description

 

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build high‑performing, scalable, enterprise‑grade applications while developing capability within the team to do the same. The role requires strong critical thinking, design thinking, and problem‑solving abilities, operating within an agile team environment to solve complex technical challenges across front‑end, back‑end, and integration layers.

The successful candidate will lead all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through to deployment and ongoing support. This role combines hands‑on technical execution with team leadership, operational oversight, and production support responsibility.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver high‑quality, scalable enterprise applications
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
• Lead and contribute across the full development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and support)
• Apply agile ways of working to deliver solutions efficiently and consistently
• Solve complex technical problems across front‑end, back‑end, and integration layers
• Own operational stability, including production support and incident management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, security, monitoring, and performance

 

Technical Requirements

Front‑End Development

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• HTML, CSS
• Angular

Back‑End Development

7 to 10 years experience with one or more of the following:

• JavaScript (Node.js)
• Java
• Python
• C# (.NET)
• PHP
• Ruby

Enterprise / Application Development

• Java
• C#
• Python
• C++

Cloud, DevOps & Operations

• AWS (Cloud services and deployment)
• Docker (Containerisation)
• Monitoring, observability, and insights tooling

Experience & Skills

• 7 to 10 years proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade platforms and applications
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, agile environment
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including technical guidance and team enablement
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience supporting applications in production environments
• ·  Strong working knowledge of database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL databases
• ·  Experience designing, querying, and optimizing relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)

Role Type

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
