About the job:
Join our Stryker Hong Kong Supply Chain team and play a key role in ensuring our kits and consignment inventory are ready where and when they are needed.
As the Kit Planning & Readiness control tower, you will manage daily kit readiness, monitor availability and dependencies, reconcile BOM and operational status against Stryker JDE, resolve gaps, and turn approved consignment recommendations into actionable plans. You will also monitor expiry and E&O risks and drive operational readiness KPIs.
You will partner closely with KP, Operations, Marketing, Sales and other stakeholders to maintain strong visibility and coordination across the process. While primarily based in the Stryker Hong Kong office, you may occasionally visit the KP warehouse, hospitals or other field locations to support stock takes, physical validation, issue resolution and process improvement.
What you will be doing:
Time Allocation (guide)
• Daily kit planning & readiness: 30%
• BOM reconciliation & build readiness: 25%
• Consignment planning & field inventory: 20%
• Kit/consignment reconciliation & expiry actions: 15%
• Cross-functional coordination, reporting & improvement: 10%
Working model / site visits
• This is an office-based role at the Stryker Hong Kong office. Visits to KP warehouse, hospitals or other field locations will be arranged based on operational needs, such as kit build validation, stock take, reconciliation, consignment review, expiry actions or exception resolution.
• During the first 3 months or other high-intensity periods, more frequent visits to KP warehouse or field locations may be required to build process knowledge, establish routines and stabilize the operating model.
• Site visits must be planned flexibly and must not crowd out office-based analysis, KPI review, cross-functional planning, reporting and continuous-improvement responsibilities.
1) Daily Kit Planning & Readiness
• Maintain daily/weekly visibility of kit demand, availability, allocation, return, redeployment and readiness with KP and relevant business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with KP to validate physical readiness and operational constraints, using targeted warehouse or field visits when physical verification is required.
• Identify kit shortage, over-allocation or timing risks, flag idle/slow-use kits observed site-based, and propose operational actions to protect case readiness.
• Coordinate routine kit planning and readiness follow-up with KP; escalate complex system/transaction issues to the Lead Operations Specialist.
2) BOM Reconciliation & Build Readiness
• Compare KP BOM completion status with Stryker JDE and maintain a daily gap list identifying missing BOM sets, components, information and expected completion dates.
• Perform first-level fact finding: validate physical/build status with KP, obtain missing business information from Marketing/Sales, request supply/incoming visibility from the Kit Planning & Readiness Specialist and inbound/customs ETA from the Operations Specialist.
• Arrange targeted physical verification with KP or visit the relevant location when data alone is insufficient, reducing repeated handoffs and unnecessary escalation.
• Escalate complex JDE/BOM structure/transaction mismatches to the Lead Operations Specialist and track the case through closure; notify Finance or other agreed stakeholders when routine BOM readiness milestones are completed.
3) Consignment Planning & Field Inventory
• Maintain operational visibility of consignment stock level, usage, replenishment need, return/recall actions and location readiness.
• Convert the Kit Planning & Readiness Specialist’s approved portfolio recommendations into an account-level deployment plan with KP/Sales, execute right-sizing, redeployment or recall actions, and provide field input (actual usage, account constraints, execution feasibility) to the monthly portfolio review.
• Support field inventory accuracy and ensure operational actions are reflected in the agreed tracking/control process.
4) Kit / Consignment Reconciliation & Expiry Actions
• Perform first-level investigation of kit and consignment variances identified through the Kit Planning & Readiness Specialist’s inventory-reconciliation template and data logic.
• Validate physical/location/build/usage status and close routine discrepancies; escalate unresolved system/transaction discrepancies to the Lead Operations Specialist.
• Act on expiry/E&O alerts issued by the Kit Planning & Readiness Specialist by coordinating consume/redeploy/return/right-size actions for kit and consignment inventory.
5) Cross-Functional Coordination, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Own operational readiness KPIs (e.g., kit on-time readiness, aged BOM gaps, variance closure lead time) and run the weekly kit readiness review with KP/Sales, providing concise daily/weekly readiness status, top constraints, aged gaps and actions to Supply Chain and KP stakeholders.
• Maintain standardized trackers and kit readiness SOPs/work instructions, and ensure handoffs among KP, Supply Chain Operations, Finance and Marketing/Sales are clear.
• Use site-based observations and recurring issue patterns to propose process improvements, automation opportunities and clearer ways of working with KP, and define automation requirements for the Kit Planning & Readiness Specialist.
• Ensure the role does not become purely transactional or administrative: maintain regular time for analysis, trend review, root-cause identification and improvement follow-through.
Who are we looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in planning, inventory, warehouse/3PL operations, kit management or order coordination; candidates with broader kit/consignment or medical device experience may be considered at a more senior level.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with daily operational trackers, ERP extracts and inventory data; JDE/SAP experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of inventory, BOM/kit concepts, lot/expiry control and cross-functional planning dependencies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently with stakeholders at various levels.
• Proven ability to collaborate across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Quality/RA and external logistics partners (3PL/4PL).
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and demonstrates a strong sense of urgency for problem solving.
• Fluent Cantonese and a good command of written and spoken English for local operations and regional/global communication; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Continuous-improvement mindset with ability to translate physical observations, data gaps and recurring issues into clear actions, ownership and measurable process improvements.
• Strong planning discipline, hands-on operational problem solving and ability to maintain control of multiple kit/consignment dependencies in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable working primarily in an office and using data-driven analysis, while conducting hands-on warehouse or field follow-up when operationally required without losing end-to-end ownership.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
• Agile and able to adjust priorities and site-visit schedules as business conditions change.
• Based at the Stryker Hong Kong office and willing to visit KP warehouse, hospitals or other field locations when operationally required.
• Passionate about driving performance, control, and practical solutions.
• Strong time management with ability to prioritize and manage multiple timelines.
