This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead, Strategic Operations & Emerging Channels based in Canada.
This role leads the operational strategy for emerging and non-programmatic channels within a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
You will design and scale operating models that improve quality, efficiency, and go-to-market execution across new channels.
A major focus will be leveraging AI, automation, and innovative workflows to eliminate repetitive work and increase team productivity.
You will also shape documentation and knowledge-management practices, ensuring critical content remains accurate, accessible, and useful to both people and AI systems.
The position combines strategic program leadership, data-driven decision-making, cross-functional influence, and hands-on operational innovation.
You will work closely with inventory, product, technical, and commercial stakeholders while measuring the tangible impact of new initiatives.
This is an opportunity to mentor others, influence executive decisions, and build scalable processes in an organization embracing AI as a core part of how work gets done.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the operational strategy for emerging and non-programmatic channels, partnering with inventory development and cross-functional teams to strengthen quality, operational excellence, and go-to-market execution.
- Design, refine, and scale operating models and daily workflows for new channels, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve execution.
- Build AI-powered solutions that address operational friction, incorporating automation models, prompt engineering, AI tools, and modern workflow approaches to reduce manual effort and cycle times.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into broader team workflows, creating scalable solutions that improve productivity and operational consistency.
- Define and monitor KPIs that measure operational performance and the impact of new initiatives, including metrics such as launch cycle time, efficiency gains, and hours saved through automation.
- Analyze operational data and translate findings into clear insights that support strategic planning and executive-level decision-making.
- Establish frameworks for managing operational content, ensuring execution guides, sales enablement materials, internal documentation, and knowledge repositories remain accurate, current, accessible, and well structured.
- Shape content so that it can effectively support both human users and AI-powered systems across emerging and established channels.
- Mentor team members across the broader inventory organization, providing guidance, removing blockers, and supporting the successful delivery of complex initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operations, program management, operational enablement, or a closely related field, including experience launching or scaling a new process, product, or channel.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools, prompt engineering, custom workflows, or automation techniques to eliminate manual tasks, streamline processes, and improve team output.
- Experience developing, structuring, and maintaining operational documentation, knowledge-management resources, or sales enablement content at scale.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify workflow inefficiencies, design scalable solutions, and quantify the resulting business impact.
- Proven experience leading complex initiatives across technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in environments where influence rather than direct authority is required.
- Strong strategic thinking and operational judgment, with the ability to translate ambiguous challenges into practical processes, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex systems and recommendations into clear, concise narratives for diverse audiences, including senior leaders.
- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities, with a natural inclination to support colleagues, simplify complex problems, and help teams overcome operational obstacles.
- Comfortable working in an environment where AI is embedded into everyday workflows and where experimentation, continuous improvement, and process innovation are encouraged.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary of $114,400–$157,300 CAD.
- Potential eligibility for additional compensation, including annual bonuses and equity awards, depending on role and eligibility.
- Retirement, 401(k), or pension savings programs depending on location.
- Competitive paid time off, including a birthday day off.
- Comprehensive mental health care support.
- Health benefits available from the first day of employment.
- Work-from-home reimbursement to support a productive remote setup.
- Optional global WeWork membership, providing additional workspace flexibility where available.
- Robust training and onboarding programs.
- Support for personal development initiatives, including conferences, courses, books, and other learning opportunities.
- Access to specialized industry courses and certifications to support continuous professional development.
- A strong parental leave program.
- A friendly, collaborative, inclusive, and supportive working culture.
- Social and team events designed to strengthen connection and community.
- A flexible remote environment that supports autonomy, innovation, and modern AI-enabled ways of working.
