Backpack Healthcare is new to Illinois — and we're building our clinical team from the ground up.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we expand access to high-quality behavioral healthcare for children, teens, young adults, and their families across the state.
We're not looking for clinicians to simply fill a caseload. We're looking for people who want to help shape what Backpack Healthcare becomes in Illinois.
At Backpack, care is delivered entirely online and covered by most insurance. We're clinician-led, minority-owned, and committed to creating an environment where therapists have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to do their best work.
Whether you're looking for full-time stability or part-time flexibility, there's a place for you on our growing Illinois team.
Joining Backpack Healthcare now means getting in early.
As one of our Illinois clinicians, you'll have the opportunity to:
You'll have the resources of an established organization — with the opportunity to help shape something that's still growing.
Choose the schedule that works best for you while building a rewarding clinical career.
Your earning potential doesn't stop at your billable rate.
Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn an additional monthly performance-based bonus based on applicable productivity and performance expectations.
It's an opportunity to increase your monthly earnings while being recognized for consistently delivering high-quality care and meeting established expectations.
You'll carry approximately 15–36 sessions per week, depending on whether you choose part-time or full-time.
Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2–9 PM, with weekend availability a plus.
And with a strong referral flow, you can focus less on finding clients and more on doing the clinical work you were trained to do.
You'll provide compassionate, evidence-informed care to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families through secure telehealth.
Your day-to-day will include:
We're looking for clinicians who are passionate about children and families and excited to help us establish a strong clinical presence in Illinois.
You'll need:

Since 2020, we've served 12,000+ children and families through accessible behavioral healthcare.
78% of families report that their child is doing better after three months of care.
Now, we're bringing that mission to Illinois.
You'll join an organization with an established track record while having the opportunity to help build our presence in a brand-new market.
Whether you want to deepen your clinical expertise, mentor other clinicians, pursue supervision, or move toward clinical leadership, there's room to grow with us.
We're not just hiring therapists.
We're building our Illinois clinical community — and we want you to be part of it.
When clinicians thrive, kids thrive.
That's not a tagline. It's how we build.
If you're an Illinois-licensed therapist looking for flexibility, competitive compensation, monthly bonus potential, strong clinical support, and the chance to help shape a growing behavioral healthcare organization, we'd love to meet you.
