About the job
Company Overview
Our client is an early-stage, fast-growing beauty brand redefining the nail care category with high-performance skincare for nails. Founded by seasoned beauty and consumer leaders, including the former CEO of a global beauty brand and the founder of a category-defining DTC consumer brand, the company sells across its own DTC e-commerce channel, national retail partners in the US, TikTok Shop, and Amazon. Its products are designed as daily self-care rituals with a natural replenishment cycle, and the company is now building a dedicated in-house retention function to turn first-time buyers into loyal brand advocates.
About the Role
Maybe you've been running email and SMS for a DTC brand and want to build a retention program from the ground up rather than inherit someone else's. Or maybe you've been executing flows and campaigns inside a bigger team and want to own the whole channel: strategy, builds, testing, and results. In this role you won't be one of several people sharing a send calendar. You'll be the primary retention specialist, owning email and SMS end to end and the repeat-purchase number that comes with them.
What You Will Do
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for a data-driven marketer who is as comfortable analyzing cohort repeat rates as building a flow in Klaviyo. Nail care is a daily ritual with a natural replenishment cycle, so the goal is clear: maximize LTV, repeat purchase velocity, and list health, and prove it with data.
You will design, configure, and launch automated customer journeys in Klaviyo, including Welcome series, Browse and Cart Abandonment, Post-Purchase Education, Replenishment Reminders, and Winbacks. You will manage the SMS program, from broadcast schedules and subscriber acquisition pop-ups to targeted text sequences, in compliance with carrier and TCPA guidelines. You will segment customer lists by purchase history, product preferences, engagement recency, and retail vs. DTC behavior to protect inbox placement and domain health. You will partner with the Senior Graphic Designer and copywriters to produce high-converting, on-brand email assets. You will analyze cohort repeat rates, churn indicators, and channel revenue attribution, and present key retention metrics in weekly cross-functional readouts. You will also use AI tools to generate subject line variants, test multivariate body copy, and streamline QA.
Why Join
You'll join a fast-growing brand at an early stage, backed by founders with deep beauty and consumer experience. You'll have real ownership: the send calendar, the flow architecture, and a retention function built around your work, with direct collaboration across performance, design, and community. The role is fully remote and works with a US-based team.
