The role

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, handling, storage, picking, labelling and dispatch of bikes, accessories and other stock. The role supports the smooth day to day running of the warehouse by ensuring customer and internal orders are completed correctly, on time and in line with agreed quality, productivity and service standards. Working as part of the warehouse team, you will carry out a varied range of duties, including, labelling product, using our inhouse WMS and Netsuite, stock replenishments, stock checks and general housekeeping. They will follow standard processes, use warehouse equipment appropriately, maintain accurate records and help keep the working environment clean, organised and safe.

Main duties

• Product labelling. Accurately label products in line with company procedures, ensuring all labels contain the correct product information and are applied to the required quality standard.
• Fulfilling collection notes. Pick, check and prepare items listed on collection notes, ensuring the correct products and quantities are ready for collection within the required timescales.
• E-commerce order support. Support the e-commerce team with day to day orders by picking, checking, packing and preparing products for dispatch accurately and on time.
• Day to day forklift operation. Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload and position stock within the warehouse, in line with company procedures and subject to holding the required training and authorisation.
• Product replenishment and stock checks. Replenish products into the correct warehouse racking locations and carry out regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.
• Use of Warehouse operational systems. Use Brompton’s in-house warehouse management system and NetSuite as part of day to day operations to process orders, update stock movements, maintain accurate records and support warehouse activities.

Additional duties

• Health and safety, it is the responsibility of all employees to work in a safe manner in line with company policies and the training that is provided
• Employees will be required to attend and complete any required training, this may include but not limited to Health and safety, Product training, Data protection, Diversity and Equality as well as any relevant cross training that is needed to support other departments and the needs of the business.
• Any other jobs around spare & accessories that may be deemed necessary

Person Specification: 

• Logical approach to tasks with keen attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems
• Friendly disposition with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Be able to work unsupervised
