McMaster-Carr is an innovative e-commerce company helping customers build and repair anything because we offer everything. We've thrived for over 120 years thanks to a relentless focus on customer experience, adaptability, and world-class operations. Our national headquarters in the Chicagoland area is the largest and most operationally complex facility in our network - a modern distribution center, office, and data center campus where same-day shipping, speed and excellence aren't aspirations, they're the standard. Curious, exceptional people are always at the center of our evolution, turning new challenges and disruptive technologies into opportunities to learn new skills and get important work done that makes customers' lives better.
What You’ll Do

At the same time, we maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps the entire site running – electrical distribution, HVAC, fire protection, building utilities, powered industrial vehicles and data center infrastructure. The scope here is broad by design - and for the right leader, that breadth is the opportunity.
We're looking for a credible maintenance and engineering lead who's comfortable walking the floor and troubleshooting alongside technicians as well as planning staffing and project execution to achieve reliability and high-quality work.
