[What the role is]
As a team member in the Strategy and Network Development Division, you will strengthen Singapore’s position as a leading air hub through market analysis, and strategy development and implementation.[What you will be working on]
You will advance Singapore’s air hub interests by working on your assigned country markets. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting market research and analysis to identify key trends, opportunities and market dynamics, including relevant economic and geopolitical considerations;
Assessing and identifying Singapore’s interests and priorities in these markets;
Developing engagement and negotiating strategies; and
Engaging foreign counterparts, foreign airlines and industry stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in the air transport sector and be willing to develop your understanding of international air services agreements, airline economics, and the economic and geopolitical dynamics that shape aviation markets.
As the role involves extensive internal and external stakeholder engagement, you should be comfortable in presenting your analysis and views and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
You should also be able to demonstrate strong systems-thinking with the ability to synthesise market, regulatory, economic, and geopolitical information, diagnose issues, develop persuasive narratives, and translate analysis into practical solutions within a regulatory and economic promotion framework.
Prior experience in the aviation industry, or in a government regulatory or investment promotion role is a good to have.
Academic training in Economics, Law, Public Policy / Public Administration, Political Science, and International Relations will be useful to help the applicant succeed.
Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
