Manager, Distribution Planning & Analytics

The Manager, Distribution Planning & Analytics is responsible for planning merchandise flow, labor, and capacity across J.Crew's Retail and Wholesale Distribution center. This role partners closely with Distribution Center leadership, MP &A, and Wholesale teams to develop daily, weekly, and seasonal operating plans that support service, productivity, and cost objectives.

Using business forecasts, historical trends, and operational data, this leader helps ensure the right resources are in place to meet customer and store demand while driving visibility, consistency, and continuous improvement across distribution operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning & Forecasting

• Develop labor, capacity, and merchandise flow plans for Retail and Wholesale distribution operations.
• Analyze business forecasts, volume trends, promotions, and operational performance to build accurate workload plans.
• Partner with Distribution Center leadership to align staffing, capacity, and execution plans with business demand.
• Identify capacity risks and recommend actions to support service and productivity goals.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, operational performance, and plan attainment to drive continuous improvement.

Labor & Operational Performance

• Support workforce planning through Labor Management System (LMS) standards and productivity metrics.
• Use data analysis and process improvement techniques to increase throughput, labor productivity, and operational efficiency.

Analytics & Reporting

• Create and maintain planning tools, dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that enable better decision making.
• Maintain planning assumptions, reporting standards, and data integrity across the operation.
• Provide analysis and recommendations that improve visibility and support informed business decisions.

Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes that improve planning capabilities and operational visibility.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve service and cost performance.

Leadership & Partnership

• Lead planning reviews and communicate priorities, risks, and recommendations to operational and cross-functional partners.
• Build strong partnerships with DC teams, Planning and Allocation and Wholesale leadership.
