About the Role
This role within the Group Risk and Compliance Systems Team will be supporting the development of analytical capabilities, management reporting, data products and AI-enabled solutions that transform risk and compliance data into actionable business insights.
The incumbent will partner closely with Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology Risk and Business teams to build scalable analytics, dashboards and reporting capabilities, improve data quality and governance, and leverage emerging technologies including Agentic AI to enhance risk management effectiveness. The role will also support the development of new tools, datasets and analytical methodologies to provide management with meaningful risk intelligence and proactive insights.
The position fulfils the following objectives:
• Build and enhance Risk and Compliance analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Develop management information, dashboards and executive reporting.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency and insight generation.
• Establish data governance and quality standards across Risk and Compliance datasets.
• Develop innovative analytical tools and solutions supporting risk-based decision making.
• Create scalable data products that support all AIA entities.
Data Analytics and Insights
- Develop and maintain Risk and Compliance dashboards, reports and management information.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, emerging risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate large and complex datasets into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Support the development of key risk indicators (KRIs), metrics and analytical models.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis in support of senior management and committee reporting.
- Establish analytical methodologies to assess risk trends and operational effectiveness.
Data Engineering and Reporting
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions across Risk and Compliance systems.
- Design and optimize datasets to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Create automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and quality across reporting outputs.
- Support integration of Risk and Compliance data from multiple source systems.
AI, Automation and Innovation
- Identify opportunities to leverage Agentic AI and advanced analytics across Risk and Compliance activities.
- Design, develop and maintain AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, reporting and decision support.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance business capabilities.
- Develop automation solutions that improve productivity and reduce manual processes.
- Promote adoption of AI and analytical tools throughout Risk and Compliance functions
Governance and Data Quality
- Establish data quality standards and monitoring controls.
- Identify and remediate data quality issues across Risk and Compliance datasets.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for datasets, methodologies and analytical models.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data governance and privacy requirements.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Risk Management or related discipline.
- 5 years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, risk analytics or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and solution development.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
- Experience working with large datasets and data transformation processes.
- Understanding of AI, Machine Learning and Agentic AI concepts and practical applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within Risk, Compliance, Financial Services or Insurance preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality management principles preferred.
- Fluent in spoken and written English with ability to present articulately
