Job Description:
Software License Management - 50%
Responsible for fully operationalizing Software License Management process, including:
- Software License Inventory for HK to ensure completeness and integrity.
- Define the Software License Management RACI and cascade to relevant stakeholders.
- Strengthening HKIT Software License Management process to enhance monitoring of deployment and utilization of SW licenses.
- Monitor and report Software License Management Metrics to local HK Leadership Team.
Incremental scope includes, but not restricted to -
- Support for software procurement planning, license position analysis, and renewal readiness
- Management reporting on software spending, license utilization, compliance exposure, and savings opportunities
- Alignment with IT asset management, procurement, finance, security, and architecture teams to govern software decisions across the enterprise
Drive adherence to technology governance standards and decision processes related to software selection, adoption, lifecycle control, and exception management.
Technology Governance & Compliance - 20%
- Define, maintain, and embed governance standards, controls, and operating procedures for software acquisition, deployment, access, usage, and retirement
- Drive compliance, internal policies, and audit requirements
- Establish governance for policy exceptions, unsupported software, end-of-life technologies, and remediation actions
- Partner with security, procurement, architecture, finance, and legal teams to ensure software decisions are compliant, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Support internal control reviews and remediation activities related to software governance, technology standards, and asset compliance
Advisory, Vendor & Operational Support - 15%
- Support vendor engagement activities including renewal planning, effective license position analysis, and audit preparedness
- Work with internal GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) teams to identify emerging software usage risks, unsupported tools, and opportunities to standardize or rationalize the application portfolio
- Provide timely reporting and support for strategic initiatives involving new software adoption, cloud subscriptions, and enterprise technology changes
Committees / Reporting / Working Group - 10%
- Technology Governance forums for software standards, exceptions, and lifecycle decisions – Monthly / Adhoc
- Software renewal and license compliance review meetings – Monthly / Quarterly
- IT asset management, procurement, finance, and architecture working sessions – Monthly
- Audit, control assurance, and management reporting reviews related to software governance and compliance
Talent Management - 5%
- Participate in knowledge building practices to develop thought leadership, team and individual skill development training
- Attending conferences and training, business immersion, networking, reading publications, being up to date on other industries (non-billable)
